Android OS is updated to last available firmware available for our phones (4.1.1).
Do you think that having att send us new simm cards would help?
worth a try, imo ;) i know att has added bands in some areas which affected service for equipment that could not pick up those bands but in your case your problem exists only during certain times :?: my vote still goes to congestion. i know you're rural as i am so that's puzzling. do you have an att store close by? if yes, ask if they got some loaners and try your sim in those.

that sounds like kitkat which is no longer supported. my tablet is stuck at jellybean which is the version before yours, so even older than yours, i dropped service on that a long time ago because it just didn't do well anymore. now i use wifi to download my books and that's it ;) but i had problems anytime of the day not limited to a few hours like yours.

I think there might have been a glitch in the matrix.

Antique handsets may not play nice with the equipment that ATT now has running that tower. ;)
hmpf! :D if that were the case cig's phones would be acting up 24/7 ;) btw i rejected my boy's iphone 6s when he upgraded to x. still sitting here on my counter and is bound to stay there because the call quality on my ancient lg flip phone is way better

Not necessarily. There may be things that the tower does when under heavy load that a modern phone would handle more gracefully.

Don't get me started on cell phone call quality. It blows my mind that they can get many megabits per second of data both up and down, but can't seem to figure out how to make a call sound decent, something that only takes ~64 kilobits/second. I have a VoIP PBX in my office. I can take one of the phones anywhere in the world, plug it into an internet connection (including one that uses cellular data!) and it sounds way better than a cell phone. Why?

I tried both stainless and titanium before they were a thing; I mean before the DNA40 existed. Not sure whether the stainless I tried was 316. I have a fuzzy recollection it might have been 304. In any case, I wasn't particularly enamored with it, probably because I do relatively simple coils (3 strands twisted is as fancy as I get) and don't see my tootle-puffing style benefiting much from more complex builds. .

I have to agree :) SS wire isn't my thing at all, I could never get 316/317 to work in TC well.
430 works in TC, but the flavour falls short of Titanium IMO
In a mec mod, I like Ni80 :) Better ramp up time & the flavour works for Me :)
I know many people use SS wire, but for Me. It's my least favourite wire choice :(

Were was this 6 months ago! I like this design :) Triple 21700's would give the all day battery life I was looking for. My current "Work Mods" 250c 4S 1500mAH luminer's are nothing short of incredible, for battery life! It's to bad the Shapeways Guy stoped making this design :(
For size of mod to battery life ratio, this design was a Winner!

Maybe the acoustics of a reasonably "large" speaker and mic versus the micro stuff they stuff into a cell phone as an after thought.

So now facebook wants access to all your financial information, why? Do YOU care?
Is it legal for the government to have access and monitor that info without proper cause?
Facebook = The 3 letter agencies
How long before they have it all in real time data 24/7?
Open your eyes
Wake up

The government will be able to monitor all financial information as it slowly nudges us to a "cashless" economy. National security and all, you know?

That FB thing popped up on the news last night.

Let's see, allegedly, the Russians manipulated/hacked FB, that oppo research firm hacked/manipulated FB, countless other people, agencies, companies and who knows who else, have manipulated or hacked FB in a multitude of ways they probably aren't even aware of, even now.

What could go wrong with them having access to everyone's financial records? Probably nothing 'cuz they're so astute at protecting their users privacy and their own systems as the existing evidence shows. If my bank co-operates with that, I'll stop using banks.

I've said it before, and I'll say it again...social media is a big sewer.

On a brighter note...Comtrash did show up, on time. The guy was pretty decent and checked everything to the house. The problem is before our "drop", IE the switch from hardline to RG6 on the pole on our property. Now they'll be sending out a service team to track the problem down. The signal here is about 10db out of spec on the upstream side which makes me wonder how they heck it works at all.

What impressed me was that he left me his cell number and asked to be called if they don't get out here in a day or two, or if they show up and fix it.

Is there a reference somewhere that says FaceBook wants access to our financial records? I am sure Zuck would like it and so would those charged with our "safety", but I don't think we are that far gone...yet.
