Well if your Apple & can afford to do quality control in your Chinese's factory, it mite be a different story!
But I'm sure no one from Vapors Cloud is in the DovPoo factory making sure you get a good unit!

No one was in the Chinese factory were they built the VapeDroid doing quality control! Thats for sure!

But Apples quality control is no different than any other product that comes out of Foxxcon. A computers reliability rate is only as good as it’s most unreliable component. And Apple employs the exact components as every other manufacture. What you are paying for with Apple is their software development and closed environment. Won’t debate the value this has to a consumer, we all have different values, and chose products to suite those values.

Check out Louis Rossmann YouTube page if you wish to see the details of the quality of Apple’s computers.

Agree that Vapors Cloud is not overlooking the QC of every product that carries their name coming out of Dovpo. Such action would skyrocket the overall cost. When working within budgets, there has to be an acceptable level of failure. The budget will dictate that.

To draw a correlation, I’ve had a small stint in the audio industry. The parts and finish of a budget speaker is reflected by its price. A higher cost speaker may not employ better parts per say, but closer attention to ensure those parts are better matched. Instead of just pulling components out of a bin and soldering them to a board, each and every component is measured and because we are dealing with a stereo pair, they are matched to their stereo counterpart. This drives the cost up and also decreases the failure rate for everything is being QC tested and not just random batch checks.

True, but you never want to grab a small mod sometimes that is light that you can drop in your shirt pocket? I do. And that is why I have some mods with lots of battery capacity and some with very little.
What is weird for me is having these magnetic charging cables around the house. And they are super easy to connect and disconnect devices. Phones, mods, MP3 players, etc. Usually just get the cable within an inch and let it go and it usually pulls itself straight on the USB connection. I even think it is as convenient as wireless.

And while I usually hate USB mod charging and hate being tethered. But with these magnetic cables, tethered isn't a big deal anymore. As if the cable happened to get hung on something, the magnetic cable breaks away and no harm done. And if I grab the mod and bring it into another room, fast disconnect and quick reconnect.

I've been experimenting with a Paranormal and a Triade with these. And even with chain vaping, I don't think I have ever seen more than a 2% drop from full capacity. One of the cables is 9 feet long and the DNA250C still gets over 1.6A charging. One could get by with very little battery capacity under these conditions.

While these magnetic connections works fine on DNA mods, except the Mirage. The Mirage has a curved face and the USB is in deep. Which isn't a problem there, but the magnetic connection pushes on the down button and that won't work. You can pull it out enough to work, but it is likely to fall out.

Other devices like phones, tablets, etc. it also works well. With one exception. If the USB jack is cheap, it can short the supply. Not problem with USB supplies, since they are designed to shutdown if this happens. It is just annoying. It does work nice for like 95% of the devices out there. I am using them for wireless headphones, phones, MP3 players, and now DNA mods. ;)

Grabbed one of these wee beasties on sale at Amazon to charge up my 26800mAh power bank and the Nintendo Switch while on the go.

On my Xvostick the screen is about 2 mm too high in the body which I thought little about till I looked at a review of one and the screen was correctly positioned. So I pull off the bottom by loosening the two set screws and had a look. The screen is covered by a thin piece of plexiglas and I was able to slide it quite easily but the screen didn't want to move so I stopped right there, it's not much of a problem
Back to inside, really well done, there's a framework inside that the board and charging board are attached to. I would like to tear it down and take some pics but am afraid I'll screw it up. Really well built, too bad about the screen though.

Was there some sort of seal on the bottom? As the XvoStick claims to be juice proof. Although it would be kind of hard to get juice in there without a seal anyway. So which direction is the screen shifted? The side where the battery bar is perhaps by being partly blocked? None of the readings are being blocked, right?

Well the Billet Box has destroyed another VTC6 after sitting for a couple of months. Dead this morning, didn't have time to throw the battery on the DVM to see what the voltage was, but I will tonight.

This is the second time, so no more batteries left in the BB anymore. :(

No seal. Just the edge of the "W" blocked.

A good place for pocket dust to collect.

If held at an angle the whole "W" can be seen.
Oh boy, you made me dig mine out and throw in a battery.

Mine could be move over a nudged. Wow, I just noticed lots of little scratches on the plexiglas. They look like tool marks. And you know, looking at it I think I would prefer the screen flipped. So it is the same way as a BB. Also the up button has a sharp burr on it. As it is very sharp and could cut up pockets. I guess some sand paper would fix it.

You only have one? I have 4 SXK BB and none of them drain batteries. Although I do have some DNAs that would drain batteries. When it happens, it is during a battery swap. And once they start draining batteries, they always will. I know of nothing short of a board replacement that will fix them. Well unless you want to replace the battery chip.

Yes the screen can be flipped.

I only have the one authentic, never bothered getting any of the SXKs. I was going to sell it as it doesn't get much use but now I suppose I'll have to swap out the board... :glare:

Are DNA 60 boards still available?
