All 5 of the machines under my care are updated to v2004

Do you like 2004? Under what's new it talks about having a sandbox, but 1903 and 1909 has a sandbox only for Pro and Enterprise editions. Is the sandbox now available for Home editions?

If the Windows update is set to 9999 days, will that prevent Windows Security from updating as well? It appeared to me that it may do so.

Isn't there a menu under Windows Defender to check for updates? I dunno, I have a strong dislike for it and use it as little as possible.

Looks like Windows 10 1903 also has the Linux Kernal.

Sitting down, facing forward.
The only time I need Escribe is if there's a problem I can't identify without device monitor. I'm a pretty boring vaper, been using the same coil/wick combinations in everything for years now. Why fix what ain't broke?

I guess I am the opposite. As I am always looking for new ways. Sure some new ones don't work so well, but some do. And nowadays I look back and I am glad I made some changes along the way. :D

Some times your out in the field & E-Scribe isn't available :( It's nice to have as much functionality as posable with out needing a computer :)
I started out with Stock Evolv theme for long time, then I noticed more functionality with other themes & I was Sold :)
I don't know this for sure? But I would bet Ginger paid some one to create their theme

So I broke down & bought a new phone today :) $900 tax in for an Xr :)
I'm not going to open the box till tuesday when my new pholio case comes from Amazon. Funny thing is I could probably get close to $500 Canadian for my 2 year old 8Plus, cause of the shape it's in :) I put it in a case straight out of the Apple box & it still looks new Plus 94% battery life left & I still have the OG Box :)
They sell for 4 to 5 hundred Canadian $ depending on Condition :)

Thats why you buy Apple Bill :)

I bought two iPhones SE and I still have the boxes for both and both iPhones were never touched by human hands and went straight into cases. I don't use the second one, as it is just a backup in case something happens with the first one (I do check the battery from time to time). Both still look perfectly fresh out of the factory. Originally they cost $400 I believe and today they are worth $9.99 each. :(

I suppose I best look at some AV security software if I am holding updates in limbo until MS fixes their 'enhancements'.

I use the free version of Avast. I think it is the best free one out there. But if you plan on running it, they lately try to trick you into getting the paid version, don't fall for it. They will pop up things like they can see your IP address, click here to fix. Or your computer is running slow (when it isn't) because these things are running in the background. Or my favorite, Avast found 583 registry errors, click here to fix. :(

You bought the wrong phone Bill! When ever Apple puts out a Budget phone it never goes over well :( They may sell well new but resale is a bust! Look at the 5c You cant even give those away :(

Here is Avast saying that my battery is degrading and trying to trick me into getting the paid version to fix it.

2020-05-29_162501.png

But here is the truth about my battery, it was manufactured back on 4/21/2017, only recharged 18 times, and still has 92% of the rated capacity after 3 years. Sure my battery is degrading, but no need for Avast paid version and it will easily last a few more years without Avast anyway. :D

I just sprang for a used S9 for $290. It's selling, new, for $700 from Consumers Cellular. Not a mark on it and the battery shows 97%. I had the Turtleback holster and Otterbox case for it before it got here. I used the same combination with my S5 and it still looks brand new after five years of use and I can probably get $100 for it. I only paid $200 so that seems a good deal to me.

There's the difference in resale! Try & buy a used Xr, for a 2 year old phone they sell for just under retail! I couldn't find a "Renewed" "Refurbished" or any thing still in good shape for under $699, $100 less than new retail ! Samsung phones drop in value quickly! for an all most new phone to sell for less than half of retail is unheard of in the Apple World!

The Apple crate is an expensive playground.

Not really! IDK how much I paid for my 8 Plus it was included in a phone contract, But It has residual value now! So say I can get even $400 low estimate & upgrade was $800 before tax , witch Tax my company will be reimbursed from Goberment
Thats only $200 a year for an iPhone :) Not really that expensive :)
It sounds like your putting out a lot upfront but if there is residual value, on the back end the price over time isn't as much as it sounded on the initial out put :)

If you pay $400 for a Samsung & 2 years later there is no residual value, it comes out to the same price over 2 years :)

I received my magnifying lamp today, what a pee wee, I think I'm going to like it better.
Received my 3157 LED switch back bulbs today. The resistors to satisfy the flasher didn't make it yet, maybe tomorrow.
The module that I ordered first from China is going to take a month of Sundays to get here so I ordered another one from a place in San Francisco.
The place in San Francisco had it drop shipped from China, I can't win.

I shall try one of the bulbs for a moment tonight at work to see how it looks.
