Hi veterans!
I'm not sure if I am committing a huge faux pas or possibly even breaking some rules here, but I would be very grateful if someone would take a look at my thread and my questions in the Liquid Extraction From tobacco sub-forum:
http://www.e-cigarette-forum.com/fo...co/255313-impatient-newbie-strikes-again.html

I've read nearly everything I can easily find here (ECF forums) about this, but as this is a subject with very few widely agreed upon truths, *discussion* is what I am really after, only that subforum seems very quiet right now.

I don't really need this question posted and answered in ATV (hence the worry about breaking rules), but in case you do decide to post it (and not either drop in on the subforum or give me a warning for breaking rules), my main questions can be boiled down to:

- Extract from what? (different type of tobacco products)
- Extract into what? (PG, VG, DW, PGA, some mix - anyone know if different solvents yields different results, ie "for flavour use VG, for nic use PG, for non-nic alkaloids use x")

If you've read some of the nicotine extraction threads here, most have been closed for good reason. Basically nicotine extraction can be a dangerous process. There are reasons the true experts in the industries wear hazmat suits for some of the process. The focus of this site is more on the use of ecigarettes rather than the creation of some of the parts including nicotine extraction.

There is likely other chemical forums that would have a lot better information about that process and suggest you try those. There are actual chemists that can give you better information than can be gotten here. Plus, any suggestion or advice dealing with nicotine extraction could be a liability. Just imagine someone who knows nothing about it, getting some advice and melting off a hand or something. It isn't anything I want to deal with and suspect the admin here doesn't either. Good luck, though.
