Not just the US sadly this attitude of legislating for the mentally challenged is on the march across the whole western world and it really bugs me. I'm not in favour of people getting hurt or houses burning down but this blanket approach to things is just ridiculous. We are not all equal most of us have triple figure IQ's and can be trusted to do things for ourselves and be safe doing it I'd go so far as to say that applies to 90% of any given population and catering to the 10% at the detriment of the majority is a high form of lunacy, perhaps more lower digit IQ's have managed to get elected to our legislative bodies and just want to make it harder to recognise them by dumbing everyone and everything down to their level.

I'm with you. The country seems to always have to cater to the lowest common denominator and it takes us as a country (or species) a long time to advance. The solution is a purge :D, but that might be a wee bit unpopular , so WE have to put up with their bans :censored: and taxes as their way of reeling us in. SMH!

There is just one thing to do! vape and buy enough vaping gear that we will be protected for the forseable future. :headbang:

Why do people still go to B&M stores for ANYTHING when you can order EVERYTHING online?

I live in Chicago where there are plenty of stores, but my opinion is the shops are all going to be driven out of business Jan 1, 2016, when the new $0.55 tax per ml gets applied. Yep you read that right. 55 cents tax per ml! There are taxes on all e-cig related accessories too.

Usually I go to stores to see what new devices they have, try out every juice they have, and buy the ones I like. I've left with as much as $200+ in juice...single 30ml bottles mind you. Now, not only have I supported the local vape shop, but I took their expertise, and found what I liked, wall the while, supporting them. Now I don't need to go back there, I can order online, and the juice has been taste tested...which by the looks of it, it's a good thing I did that b/c they are all going to be gone.

I'm also sitting on a stash of abt (100 bottles all at around 30ml) 3,000ml or professionally mixed juice that I w have paid an additional $1,500+ to buy after Jan 1, 2016! I knew there was going to be a tax...that is why I bought ahead of time. And I know that we may have issues with getting supplies, that's why I'm buying now.

Not to debate the issue, but some are going to be sued out of existence and who knows abt criminality yet.

Weren't they basically ran out of Canada? I never bought their stuff, thought it was over priced but have seen the story and they straight up lied to folks, still are.

Not sure where they are originally from. They are in Irvine, California currently.

I didn't know, one of the local owners I know told me to read up about them and said they were ran out. He pulled all their stuff off the shelf when it got serious enough that they really can't deny they lied. He pulled Suicide Bunny for the longest until they changed somethings. He may have been over reactive but when it comes to liquids I get it, he honestly just doesn't want people sick or hurt.

McDonald's paid off a hot coffee spilled on lap law suit. A guy blowing up his face with vape gear is easy pickens. If I did sell a mech as a B&M owner I would make sure to explain saftey as well as have a Mongo liability umbrella policy. As has been stated, the average vape shop employee does not even know what 3mg nicotine e juice really means. None of them know it's per ml. Ask the next time you are in a shop. The look on the employees face is comical. Simply ask, what does 3mg or 12mg nicotine mean.

That's noble of the B&M owner, but being closely associated with a local B&M myself, I know the other reason he didn't mention is:

No one is buying them anymore, and they are collecting dust and taking up shelf space.

I intend to find a few Nemesis clones to throw in the sock drawer here soon too.
I'd have to agree, so many B&M I go to have had the same mods sitting on display for over a year... Lets face it, generally other than materials and multiple battery setups people just don't need to buy mech mods much..

These things happen in the natural course of events. I believe law suites like this one
will do better in directing the industry in the right direction than extraordinary
government regulation. The laws and regulations already on the books are
sufficient to govern the industry. This law suite is proof.

Question: If juice manufacturers all decided one day to get their nicotine from a different source - tomatoes, let's say. How would that affect the proposed regulations. Granted tobacco has a much higher concentration of nicotine so it is more abundant in this one source. But does that mean that liquids that use nicotine from tomatoes get a free pass?

Just throwing that out there.

Mike, it's law suit, not suite. I am not the spelling police but that one is rather bothersome. Sorry.
