This morning I realized what a stupid and rushed, panic decision I took yesterday and going totally overboard with ordering a lot of gear, that is not ideal for what I want to vape. The highest ohm coils of the updated Kangers are currently 1.8! So I went to the website to change my order to your suggestions - Box Mod/different tank BUT there is no telephone number.

I had sent them a message to please contact me via telephone for an order adjustment since they have a no return policy on batteries! This is ordering from Sweet Vapes. Please keep your fingers crossed for me, that they will contact me before shipping out the gear.

So if I DO manage to cancel or change the order:

Are there any tanks that come in stainless steel?
Does it make sense to order a 50 W instead of 30/40 or is there too much room for error for a beginner like me?

Stephanie

Depends on what you are looking at - I believe the MVP 20w has "step down" so you can vape at lower voltages, some do not have that and will "force" you to use the battery voltage (3.5-4.2v). Also some of those mods that require a separate battery means you need to learn more about battery safety - what to buy, where to buy it, etc. 30w or 40w would be fine, but you likely wouldn't use them on most clearos (some clearomizers allow you to use sub ohm coils which would use over 20w).

Ok so I looked into it and cancellation of the order is not an option with this vendor.
If I am LUCKY (since it is my mistake) he will reply to either my e-mail, contact form message sent through his site or my telephone message to the store and allow me to change the order.

They ran out of the 50 watt kits but have the Istick 20 available which I guess will do me just fine.
I am now looking at the tanks available on the site so in case they do reply to my message, I actually know what I want to exchange my order for:
Sweet-Vapes | Electronic Cigarettes & Hand Mixed E-Liquids

Would the Nautilus Mini be OK with the BVC coils? I could actually add the stainless cover so I would not have to see my vape float around.
I think right now I prefer the smaller tanks so I can keep changing my vape throughout the day.

Just noticed the highest ohm coil for those is also 1.8 :(

The 1.8 on those should be fine.
I think the kangers you were using were dual horizontal coil heads, these are single vertical and by most accounts perform much better than the majority of the coils on the market.
The nautilus is a fantastic tank. great on 20-30w mods

Ah well, looks like I messed up properly as I just received confirmation that my order has shipped instead of a reply to my multiple messages to please contact me to change my order. Kicking myself but hoping for the best.

Thank you all again for your support!

:( sorry, that sucks :(

Yes I think so too. I am fully aware that I only have myself to blame for ordering too much of the wrong gear but they could have had a life long customer in me IF they would have responded and advised me on the right gear or allowed me to change it. They also have a no return policy for batteries and the like.

In Germany consumers are entitled to refuse delivery but I have never heart of it here.

I think you can refuse a package if it was damaged in shipping, provided they bring it to the door, but other than that I havent heard of it either.
Batteries are delicate items, I can understand having a strict or no return policy on batteries. You may have no luck with it - but you could possibly try to do an exchange your your B&M. If the stuff is unopened, unused, and they carry it, they may allow you to trade it for a better device. Maybe not, but could be worth a shot. I'd call ahead and try to go when the manager is around, but that's me :)
Just tying to make the best of a bad situation....

I so relate to what you're feeling right now. I was so completely confused and overwhelmed and frustrated when I first started a few weeks ago. Ordered the wrong stuff, freaked out, was totally confused....I'm a little too new to give any decent advice, BUT, I will say this: Start simple, get a good, reasonably priced package. I'm using a Kanger IPOW2 which I love, a Smoktech RBC tank, and then just a good ol' Evod, and they're working well. Affordable, easy to use, just to get me into it. It does get easier, I promise! Keep asking questions, these people on this forum are crazy helpful.

I was looking at the IPow 2 and decided it was too large for me:) I found another thread on ECF which had some people vape VG/Water/Alcoholic beverages in the Kanger Clearo's that I have ordered so right now I will just put this experience down as having to pay for my red head moment and hope that the kit will work out with the juices that I am planning to use. By the time I have money to spend on vaping gear again, somebody may have invented the perfect girly box mod :)

....... but no, I do not mean pink! Just a little more elegant.

Yeah I assumed you didn't mean Hello Kitty themed. :D Though I'd pay good money for a battery with a Triforce on it.

Get a common mod, then visit jraps... they have all kinds of prints for mods... I think they may even do custom work...

Caprilli.

I'm no expert on anything.

But I did go down this route when it came down to vaping.

I made mistakes, bought stuff I should not have and spent money I should not have.

Buy a good mod. I recommend the MVP20W. You can skin it to fit your lifestyle.

Buy a good stainless steel tank with pyrex glass.

If you cant stand looking at the liquid take some Ducktape with a pattern you like and cover it up.

But most importantly just enjoy it and dont focus on the small details .

If you can not return the stuff you bought either keep it in reserve as a backup or give it to a friend who is still smoking.

When I find a good deal on something I usually buy two of them, either to keep one as backup or as a present for a smoker that just might quit given a chance.

Just to keep you all updated and no bad light on a vendor: The owner of Sweet Vapes contacted me tonight and explained why the order went out before they had a chance to respond to my messages. I am not mad at them, just mad at my own eagerness but he assured me that I did not order rubbish and should get my money's worth out of the kit. He even offered advise and his direct contact details for future advise which I think is rather good of him.

Like I said, I made a mistake, I have paid for it, I shall learn and life certainly goes on. Our 18 year old refers to these issues as "such first world problems" :)

The whole kind of "new to vaping experience" is certainly a confusing journey as I get different information everywhere!

My local B&M demonstrated the Istick to me today and the reason it has no step down function is the fact that you can set it to as low as 2 volts.I did buy some disposable clearomizers there and some more caramel swirl liquid so I can get by until the order arrives. Who knows, I may just resell some of the kit without opening the box as I bought everything in double quanteties and can try out one before opening the other.
