Evenin' all.

These Kuro coilers are bloody brilliant. Did 6 tanks today - Lemo, Rose, RM2 and 3 Kayfuns.

No more torching the wire before hand, no more torching coils after I've wrapped them on a drillbit. Takes literally seconds to make a superb micro coil. Decided to use up some of my 26g kanthal for all of the tanks, not used it much recently. The tension of the coils are spot on, I really am impressed with these coilers. Didn't even bother trying the twisted wire I spun up last week. It now takes longer to clean out the tank than it does to set coil and wick them :D

Okay so you used the 26g, what size coiler and which hole for the screw, did you do all the same or different resistances.

If anyone is thinking about getting some and you're worried about the "ships in X days" thing - I can honestly say their worth the wait :)

 I read that after my last post

Well, mine is still going okay, with a 1.73ohm KF build @ 15w and it's now halfway through the second battery, so I'm not too worried at the moment, but I am keeping an eye on it.

Phil has just put out his 1st video of his trip to China, this is of the Innokin factory - warning it's 1 hour 7 minutes long but shows the whole factory from start to finish and worth watching:

Well I watched the whole thing, was a little slow at times, but a good video. Also I get from it why so many are unemployed over here, everything is automated, very little is automated in China, all hands on assembly line. Don't know if I could sit at a job putting in the same 4 screws (or whatever) in hundereds of devices all day long, would be really boring.

Think that was why they had to have a nap during the day

I used the 3mm and the 2mm coilers Bob. 2mm for the Rose and the RM2, 3mm for the Lemo and the Kayfuns. I used screw hole number 2 for all the builds (the one for thicker wire). All my resistances were between 1.0 and 1.4 ohms depending on the topper :)

 I read that after my last post

I do know what you mean though mate about a spaced coil giving more surface area. I think that's why the parallel builds I did before were so good - more surface area. I still reckon these coilers are the best thing since sliced bread though

Thinking about it, you could still get a spaced coil using one - you'd just have to make the spacing yourself with a pin afterwards

I'd end up falling asleep mate, doing the same job over and over again. Can you imagine the chat at the dinner table.

"Have a good day at work ?"

"Yeah, it was great. I screwed in 29,446 screws today"

Nah, if i`m honest ian i can make a mean coil on the jig i got, so no need for one of them. I am just happy i have found what works best for these lemo`s, and as i said, i will do my other four exactly the same way now i know. It`s really strange though, when i was using micro coils i was hardly getting any air bubbles ! Now. i am getting loads

Must be honest, originally I got the coilers to make parallel and twisted builds easier. Just thought I'd try it out first with 26g. Was that easy and I was that impressed with the coil - I kept on using the 26g :)

That's weird mate, I always get the air bubbles in the Lemos. But we all build differently I guess. As long as you've found your favourite method, that's all that matters :D

Ahh, sneaky bubbles, popping up when you're not looking

It might be the difference in the way we wick them too - obviously my way is better :p:laugh:

:offtopic: Went to a new Iceland store today, that's just opened up in Rochdale, the Wife had a £5 discount voucher so we thought we'd check it out. Picked up some Venison steaks, Buffalo burgers, Kangaroo steaks, Ostrich steaks, Wild boar sausages, Shark steaks and a few other exotic ones to try. Bloody expensive, but I'm looking forward to trying something new :)

Sounds good, but you need to send them to me so I can test them to make sure they are safe to eat.

I like iceland myself, great for filling the freezer up. Didn`t know they were selling them sorts of things though, or is it a one off for the new store ?

I think I do shorter tails on mine, plus you cut the inverted V don't you ?? I do it in reverse with the V upright.

They only had a small section with the speciality stuff. But I think it will be a regular thing in the store - quite a big place, they call it the "Frozen Food Warehouse". We normally buy freezer stuff from Farmfoods, but decided to have a look at the new place for a change. The new Iceland is about 10 times as big as Farmfoods in Rochdale. They even had a grill going so you could try samples of the speciality meats - tried the wild boar sausages, very nice. More nutty and leaner than normal bangers, they were a lot richer tasting :)

I noticed Kanger is now investigating Fasttech. I guess they are going to try and find who supplies Fasttech and cut them off. Think they would be able to actually keep fasttech from selling their stuff?
