This is an awesome thread and I absolutely love my Fatty V2. I do have to admit that they are very finicky little monsters when it come's to coils.

Anybody else loving their Fatty want to share their experience with wicks/coils... pics appreciated..

Also, I have read somewhere that there are updated pos and neg posts for these... I am curious what they look like and if can be bought or can we make them?

does the mesh touch the posts? or do you have to keep them away?
perhaps oxidizing the mesh eliminates any shorting...?
you can see I am not settled with mine yet, and have tried mesh over the silica and then wrapping the coil, but i keep getting shorts if the mesh touches the posts.
I love this thing more and more all the time.... made a very small diameter coil setup... rolled a thin piece ss mesh the length of the coil, inserted into coil and then stuffed a small piece of silica under the ss mesh between the posts to wick any stray drips.... WOW!!

I make the coil on a tiny screwdriver, attach it to fatty posts, then pull it up and over the top of the posts...nothing touches the posts.

The mesh is tightly rolled... I only stuffed the silica underneath the coil and mesh to hold juice. The ss mesh wicks it up from the silica. (The silica is not inside the mesh)

No hot spots... pure joy....

i have the dream, using the stock screws and no issues. I think Mister E was going for a higher set coil, possibly so the flat drip well could accomodate more of a juice reserve but I'm not sure

anyway as is its right up there with my ERA and modded A7s, this thing is awesome. I built a top feeder around it :)

Got my Dream a few days ago. Took a while to get used to from the phoenix. It was a leaky s.o.b. at first! I learned quick that this is a 2-3 drop atty. Stock coil and wick were a bust I thought at first, flavor and vapor were aweful, but I was probly just scorching my juice. Recoiled with a cotton wick and dropped my kick down to 7 watts from 9 with the phoenix. Hits like a Dream should, pun intended! Doesn't leak as much because there's hardly anything in it. It's a little fiddlesome with the air control wheel always opening/closing in your pocket. A little teflon thread tape will stiffen up the adjustment so it's not so free-spinning. After figuring it out I can say it's definately a nice one to have in the arsenal.

Hey Kemo!

I got my dream from empire mods. When I got the A7 it was coated in machine oil, so the first thing I do when I get an RBA is full disassemble and wash. All better :) I love this thing!

Here is the top feeder
