That's awesome news. If they are anything like their Flue Cured, I will like them for sure. I don't use it (FC) as a stand alone, I use it to bring a darker note or tone a sweet tobacco down a bit. If they are even close to that, they will have a winner in my book. Sad about the cigar though, can never get enough good cigar flavors.

I emailed Jeff at BCV today. He said they will continue to sell everything post 8/8 that they currently sell. I know states can get in the way but it's reassuring because I only vape HS or unflavored.

They day HS goes poof from the shelves will be a really bad day for me. Hopefully we really do have 2 more years. More importantly...hopefully the courts throw out the 499 page disaster and make the FDA start over.

Am I crazy for not being concerned about having access to flavorings? As long as they're not sold specifically for use in electronic cigarette liquid, they can't regulate it. Right?

The FA/TFA/CAP/FW stuff? No problem. Hangsen and Inawera tobaccos? Big problem. They are single use. Especially HS. Their entire business is vaping only.

I'm not concerned either. Worst case, the black market will be there. As will homemade NET. But I feel like there will always be flavoring available.

I could see manufacturers going under. Selection might diminish. But there'll be something out there. That said, a 4 oz Dark for Pipe might be in my future....

Fantastic idea. Judging by what's been said above, I may need to look into long-term storage options for at-risk flavorings.

As much as I've vaped it over the past few months, I'm still surprised by new (to me) nuances that I pick up from Dark for Pipe. I swear I detected the slightest hint of Vegemite a few mornings ago while I vaped and sipped my morning coffee.

homemade NET.

This is where 8/8 is just another date on the calendar. I can't see them ever halting the sale of tobacco or the ability to buy seeds to grow your own. I could vape my own NET from this point forward and be happy.

Synthetic tobaccos, I don't see those disappearing any time soon. I'll be surprised if they do.

I would think freezing would preserve it virtually indefinitely.

I've finally bit the bullet and laid in some DIY supplies in case the FDA really goes nuts with their control freak mentality.

I have enough 100mg nic base to last me about 18 years, but I have some questions about good tobacco flavors. I ordered MFS FA (Flavourart) flavorings in the following flavors:

FA 7 Leaves Ultimate
FA Black Fire Tobacco
FA Desert Ship Blend

The review comment under the juices at MFS generally say to start low at 5 % and go from there. This stuff must be pretty potent. Also, some say [base] [flavoring] and others just say [flavoring]. What's the difference?

yes, kinda like cutting wood - measure twice/cut once
start at 2, 3, 4, " % " then you can always add more if needed...

I don't think there is any difference 'base' or 'flavoring' (depends how you're brought up :p)

imagine you know of this eJuice-calculator

Yep. I've learned the hard way to create small and work my way up! I've vaped Hangsen juices forever and I buy them because they are subtly flavored. I can always add some watermelon or caramel if I want because they are just light tobacco flavors to start with.

Less is more. You can always add to taste, but it's harder to figure out how to add nic, pg, and vg to offset too much flavor.

If you like the FA desert ship I'll send you a free 30ml bottle that I ordered by mistake last year. You should definitely give Hangsen a try. Especially for starting out. It's stupid easy. All of the popular ones are excellent standalone. Flavor % is a no brainer. 3-6%. I mix them all around 3-5% nowadays. I used to go 6-7% but realized less is more. Hangsen Desert Ship has been my #1 vape for nearly 3 years. I'll never get tired of it.

The thing I like about HS is they distill real tobacco leaves vs engineering "tobacco flavor" from 100% artificial ingredients. Not the same as a NET but much closer to a NET than synthetic flavor. Their production and R&D facility is one of the best (probably THE best) in the world for tobacco concentrates.

Bull City has original packaging HS. RTS has rebottled HS. I've ordered from both multiple times with no issues.

I've been using Hangsen exclusively for the past 3 years and combined with my home made NETS I'm in tobacco heaven. When "buyhangsen" went out of business I bought just about all of there 50ml bottles during there going out of business sale and still have 20 or so bottles that I just repackaged into glass. I've frozen a few of them a few months back to see how they stand up to freezing and so far so good. If all goes well in about 6 months I'll put the rest in the freezer. So at my age I should be set for life with the flavors I have along with all that NIC I stock piled not to mention the countless number of 10ml tobacco flavors I have. It's about the only thing that eases my mind a little about this FDA BS. I'm working on hardware now spending what extra cash I have on RBA's, MODS and parts and getting a good stash going that I'm sure fasttech is pretty appreciative of:)

I found this DIY video and thought it to be a good tutorial for people like me who need to see it done with explanations all along the way. He likes the scale method and I have to agree that it's the way I'll go.

This guy is excellent at explaining how and why and he covers all the options for mixing. He shows the scale method with a tare to zero after each ingredient is added. I definitely need to add a scale to my tool list.

I mix minimum sizes of 120mls per recipe. I use a lipped measuring beaker and squeeze bottles for pg/vg. The only thing I use syringes for are nic and flavors. It's really fast. You just pour the pg/vg mix from the beaker into the nic base/flavors. I'm sure a scale would work excellent but I'm stuck in my ways too. lol

My regular tobacco and TA vapes I build 100mls at a time in glass jars. My wife's I make 200mls so it lasts her a month and have one steeped and ready to cut into 50's and repeat the process, she been vaping 1 flavor ejuice(cotton candy) for over 2 years so she is easy to mix for. A scale is the only way to go. I don't miss cleaning the syringes at all.
