A really good vendor shouldn't need good customer service.

Ok, so a "good" vendor can be a ........? <expletive edited by forum>

what makes a really good vendor if they DON'T have good customer service?

even if their prices were 20% lower than everyone else, I wouldn't tolerate poor customer service or interaction from a vendor.

Color me biased because I work in the service industry. Providing better service means I make more money

For hardware, I always have the best experiences in the classified section.
For software, I am a gigantic fan of deejStuff. He's mixed several custom blends for me, and always talk to me over email very very quickly when there's questions or problems. Even when I told deej I was going to start mixing my own, he ordered glass vials to sell me his flavors, showed me where to get the highest quality stuff, and helped me start mixing.

With a quality product u won't have to tolerate poor or any customer service for that matter. When I purchase a product and someone asks me how the customer service is I am happiest when I can say" I have no idea",I've never needed their customer service.
There's a difference between selling a service and selling a product that requires customer service.

Um...dude. customer service entails accurate and detailed product descriptions on a easy to navigate website, accurate stock updates, prompt and accurate processing of one's order, good packaging, prompt shipping and courteous service in the event one has a question Not everyone knows it all already when buying new equipment. No vendor is completely immune from getting faulty stock from even the most reputable manufacturer...stuff can and does happen, and the vendor should do their best to rectify the situation in a gracious and productive way. Little touches like a hand written thank you note on the packing slip is that extra bit of personalization that can make a buyer feel he is dealing with people who care about his satisfaction personally. It's a classy thing to do. Following up is another touch of personal service that most people appreciate. In turn...buyers shouldn't view the vendors they deal with as if they were machines that don't need to be interacted with. That's cold. Personally, I like feeling like I am not just another sucker buying something from a faceless uncaring seller. I like to feel that there is a rapport there..even if only in my own mind. Why else would suppliers bother with having their own forums here at ECF?

Both of my 2 favorite vendors showed me exceptional customer service.

Dave from desertvapes didn't have to stand outside in 100f+ weather answering my questions. He could have easily (and justifiably if you've ever been in AZ in the summer) said, 'whew it's hot out here, email me your questions and I'll get back to you when I get the time.' The fact that he did was, imho, awesome customer service. He had his money and I had my product, there was nothing keeping him there except the desire to make my transition to vaping as easily understandable as he could.

Tim from vaporbeast didn't have to call me on Thanksgiving weekend. He could have waited until monday when the holiday weekend was over to call me and help me w/the problem I was having w/my shiny new chrome lavatube (I still love saying 'my shiny new chrome lavatube', hehe) but he didn't. He took the time out of his holiday to help me w/the purchase I had made. (In case you're wondering, my shiny new chrome lavatube was fine, I just wasn't doing the 5 clicks fast enough to turn it on, hehe). Again, imho, that is awesome customer service.

I believe that customer service is more than just dealing w/problems. It's making each and every customer feel that they're appreciated.

I always get exceptional customer service, with time-limited guarantees on all the hardware I buy at Cignot.com. Vicki is the best!

I mix my own juice (DIY), so I have no recommendation for pre-mixed juice. I order most of my flavorings from e-cigexpress.com and my unflavored nicotine juice from RTSvapes.com.

Reasons:

I only use Joyetech hardware, and Vicki at Cignot is a long-time authorized Joyetech distributor. I've never had a complaint that she didn't take seriously and tend to quickly. I suppose I should try others, but I'm totally satisfied, so why switch??

E-cigexpress has a wide array of flavorings from the best, most trusted flavoring producers. But mostly, they have an outstanding selection of tobacco-based flavorings of all types.

RTSvapes is new on my list, but the nicotine juice I've bought there has been very clean and pure, although I'm no expert on this subject. I used to buy it from Gourmetvapor, where I also used to buy a lot of pre-mixed stuff, but I've heard some stories that turned me off from that company. I won't spread allegations I can't support, but it turned me off. The one thing I will caution about buying pre-mixed juices from GV is that they post flavor combinations that are sometimes just experiments by customers who use their mix-your-own system, so it could be any old weird combination of flavorings that might be awful. I've had some real nasty ones from there, but also some very good ones. It's a luck of the draw kind of thing.

Here & There
I don't buy juice anymore I DIY my own and I tend to buy where the sales, deals and promos are. For prompt reliable service and great selection I like ecigexpress for my DIY stuff. I also frequent Vaping Zone and RTS Vapes when they have sales. If I can't get it on sale I partake in the co-ops. Other than that I have probably used at least 30 other vendors and ones that often get my repeat business offer reward points which I like.

Has anybody gotten orders from vapedudes.com for juices? I have an order on the way and am way excited. I also ordered a Vamo from www.vaporbank.com on Christmas Eve and called with a question. Not only did they answer, he was super helpful and let me know which batteries would work best that they offered and why. They also throw in a free sample vape with each order and I found the Vamo on sale for 49.95 , which was the best price I've found.

I would hate to list a favorite when I've received excellent service from a number of hardware and juice vendors here. My list of #1 suppliers is the following:

Hardware
Imeo (GG)- for being accessible and making outstanding products
Face (iHybrid) - for being accessible (haven't tried the iHybrid yet but assuming that it's amazing based on reviews)
ProVari - Outstanding customer service and product
NHaler - Outstanding customer service and product

Juice
Wizard Labs - Super shipping and product
KBV - same

I think that, for me, it would be easier to list any ECF suppliers that aren't amazing. The people here constantly impress me with their dedication to their craft and loyalty to their customers.

GotVapes for hardware. I know it is the genuine article like the Nova's.
Heather's Heavenly Vapes for my juice. I've only had a couple of flavors that I probably won't reorder and have tried at least 15+ juices. That's quite a track record for a juice vendor. It's so hard to pick a favorite from Heather's. :)

For hardware I am going to go with
Vaping Zone
They carry lots of cartos and other odds and ends I like. Leah is a great customer service rep, if u have any questions or problems she's the one to talk to. Plus they have fast shipping and competitive prices.
For specialty attys
Ikenvape
I ordered there one time for my birthday, an I got a hand written note and a extra atty from Ike. I think everyone who vapes should experience a io 6
For juice I have a few favs for different reasons
Altcig
They have been my number 1 juice vendor for the past year because I can vape 90% of what they make. They have great dessert flavors and fruits I love. They usually ship the day u order and it get to me from vegas to indiana in 2 days!
Vapor Cast Store
Their biscotti is a juice I cannot live without! Some day I will have to try other ones.
Mount Baker Vapor
When I wanna bump up my flavors and have a lil more control over my vapes I order from there, prices at great, shipping is fast, and James seems like a vendor who cares.

Maybe someone should start a thread about vendors u won't order from again, that would also be useful information.

1. Who's your favorite hardware vendor (and why)

2. Who's your favorite juice vendor (and why)

My favorite hardware vendor is a tie for 1st place between Dave at DesertVapes Electronic Cigarettes and Supply and Tim and http://www.vaporbeast.com/. For the why it's the same with both. OUTSTANDING customer service. Dave stood in a parking lot in the middle of the summer (the temperature was well over 100f) for over an hr answering all my noob questions when I went for a local p/u and Tim replied to a problem I had w/my shiny new chrome lavatube (I love saying 'shiny new chrome lavatube') by calling me on Thanksgiving weekend to help solve my problem (I wasn't doing the 5 clicks to turn it on fast enough, doh) and make sure I was happy w/my purchase.

My favorite juice vendor is Heathers Heavenly Vapes, Top Quality Custom E-Liquids simply because I've liked every flavor I've ordered from them and they're speedy w/deliveries.

Hardware - smokeless image.. reasons.. kick .... products - I love my volts! Another reason is their presence in this forum.. if you have a question or concern.. they're on top of it here or through CS.. Good for a noob like me to have such fast answers to noobish questions.

Juice.. I can't call favorites yet.. I'm still interviewing vendors ;)

I do have some favorite flavors .. so I'm sampling those from different vendors.. but I do only use vendors that have all VG juice.. can't comment on those that don't.

so far.. almost all juice vendors have been FAST and darn happy to have the business.. nice notes in with shipments.. email updates on order progress (mt baker has been amazing for email updates)
