Just a suggestion here, and it's mostly because I have a few genesis attys going, but once you set up a wick and it tests out fine, fill it up with juice and let it sit for a bit before using.

After the success of the 1/8 fishstick in my drilled mini-DID I posted earlier (getting better every tankful BTW), I got to thinking that this might be the way to go - however - my AGA-T2 is already drilled to 1/8, and can't be drilled larger because of lack of room (already cut into the center post well)..
Sooooo, I was checking out some new RBAs & found out that SMOKtech has a new AC9 clone - the RSST. From my research, it has a 3.2 mm (1/8 inch) wick hole, and looks like it has room to drill it out quite a bit larger!

Ordered one up & gonna see how it works, and possibly make a mega-fishtick version.
Time to stalk he USPS guy again....
Supposedly, there is a spacer and it has a 4mm hole without the spacer and with the spacer it has a 3mm hole.

cant wait to make some of these. also gonna make them so they reach the bottom of my Aga-T. the 3/32 and 1/8 ones are too short
anyone reccomend a solid working, standing torch purchaseable online? was thinking about this one, but its a little expensive. its solid though...
Blazer GB2001 Self-Igniting Butane Micro-Torch: Amazon.com: Industrial & Scientific

These a really good points. I noticed that after I dry burn to clean the coil, it took on a bit of burnt juice taste. (Even with a rinse). Next step was to take the out the wick coil and torch it. It cleaned up the wick/wire, but I lost some tightness in my wraps. I'm thinking with the hot wrap it may just be easier to pull the coil, torch/steam clean the wick and do a two minute EHR re-wrap.
When these ceramic wicks become cheap and more widely available, I see having a whole bunch of pre-coiled wicks just sitting in a box. A section for low res and section for high res, etc. Now we just need a better way to secure wires other than twisting a screw/nut tight and putting extra pressure on the wick.
sorry to say, it is definatly not the 3/32 wick thats at fault. they work just as good, if not better then the 1/8ths. i suppose the inconsistant hit can be from the contacts on your devices or a loose coil, and as for the slow responce time on the 3/32 wick, it has to be from to many wraps. at least when you get the 1/8 wicks you will be able to fine tune the set-up without the breaking issues of the 3/32 size, for the 1/8 are definatly more solid.thanks, DSmooch. ill just use my dremel. i fot the right grinders for it.
Lhartman89, i do not like these 3/32's/ i cannot get a consistent hit inless im constantly tilting the wick. also take 5-8 seconds to take a hit. im done hith them
I understood every word he said, if someone wants a translation
he is annoyed at the distance of the positive post and negative screw from the wick hole
he is annoyed at the 0.8mm air hole as he prefers 1.4 so it's 50% too small but says maybe some people like it tight and it can be drilled out
he doesnt like the very large hole for the wick and explains that if a person is use to leaving the filler plug out and tilts the unit then this will be a problem with juice leaking out, but by leaving the plug in then all is fine
he explains that for some reason, he hasnt worked out yet that the hits from juice are greater using this unit
the juice tank will hold around 4.5ml juice which is great
the price is great but he is annoyed that they didnt have a factory drip tip with it
he says for the price it's worth every cent and that you cant go wrong

I saw that vid earlier, how did you translate that? Do you speak greek? Someone on another thread mentioned that you can take out the insulator on the wick hole to get a 4mm diameter hole! Are these in stock anywhere?
FC-2000 from the co-op finally came in....yahoo....let the wrapping begin.
Edit: Okay..put a 3/32 FC2000 wick in a chid. First off.. the diameter is ridiculously small compared to 1/8. The wick feels so fragile, I have no idea how anyone can hand wrap these things. Fortunately we have the brilliance of the Elias Hot Wrap.
The only difference here with EHW technique that I used was in wire tension while hot wrapping. With the 1/8, I felt that I could use a bit of tension in pulling/guiding the wire/coil spacing when twisting the wick. With the 3/32, no way.... it was more of an exercise of melting wire onto the wick. Not really melting, but just getting the wire hot to the point where through gravity it relaxed and formed good apposition to the wick.
First vape.... no break-in period, but like others, this diameter need a tilt. I used 30g with six wraps for 1.4 ohms. One thing that is nice with the thinner wick is that you can drop power a bit vs 1/8. I was pushing 12 watts on the 1/8 vs 10 on the 3/32.
I'm liking this stuff.

you know i have a couple more 3/32 wicks that i recieved well over a month ago, also just got a few more last week, the ones i recieved last week seem to be alot thinner then my original ones. i havent wrapped any of the newer ones yet, but had no problems what so ever hand wrapping the older ones(which were the ones in the 2 vids i did). the older ones came out to 1.1Ω with a 4/5 wrap of 30g. the vape of the 3/32 wick with this set-up is just as good as any other set-up i have done yet. i do like the thicker wire for taste, but for me the 28g is just a little sluggish at low resistances with the ceramic, but once it does heat up its great, the 30g on the smaller wick is like a race car and the 28g on the 1/8 is like a rolls.
