have you tried it with 28g? i have always done 28g under 1- ohm, but was wondering what the 28g would be like at like 1.7Ω's. probably to slow for me. i wonder what it would be like if you were able to get like 7 volts on it?

Should light up like a single batt mechanical at .8 ohms...but with twice the surface area!

Well gosh darn, if I would just read the instruction manuals more often I might learn sumpin'. That explains why I usually get a better vape in the high 4V range than I do at the low 5V range when working w/ coils between 1.6-1.8 ohms on the Provari.
ps: vapdivrr, I've yet to work with 28g or ribbon kanthal 'though I have some of both. Before ceramic came around I was trying different mesh, and different styles of wick (thin, fat, straw), the ceramic came along and it was Fishsticks, round FC's, slotted FC's, white ceramic. I stuck with the 30g on all my builds just to keep something consistent. That and my primary PV's are a few Provari's and a couple backup Zmax's. But in the next couple-few weeks I should be getting my 1st mech mods, then let the 28g learning curve begin.

Whether it's a genesis, oddy clone, or RDA, I always make 1.2 ohm coils and rock 3.6V. I can't drop my wattage or amperage any lower and be satisfied.

I've done it @ 1.3Ω's on a fc2k 1/8th wick @ 8 watts. Took forever to heat up! Had 6 wraps of 28g on that sucker. Did it on my AGA T2. Wasn't too pleased with it...

@MikeE3....Sub ohm on a mech with a fresh batt will lite your world. Different vape...flowing 5amp with 28g is instant on and then back off vs an <3amp wait to reach vape temp and then push. Dont mean to be cryptic...when it happens you know it. Of course ya gotta have the right wick set-up

You're just making my wait on a mech mod a bit more difficult.
hmm! My bank acc't is happy I missed out but maybe not me. I would have expected a mod of that quality to cost more.

gave up on that idea, hell I did a 4/5 wrap of 28g and didn't like it. I just got so used to a 2/3 or 3/4 that anything any slower is just to slow. not that I ever vaped that 1.7 @5.2 volts, but I always thought that is possible on the v-2, it comes in below the 3.5 amp limit and right at the 15 watts, guess you learn something every day.

youll love it, I just got some 26 & 27g and been messing around with them. the 26 is hard to work with but when you get a good wrap its there forever. 27g seems to be a lot easier then the 26. I just love the flavor difference of the thicker gauges but you have to watch for the lag times, the thicker wires do take more time to heat up for sure, and being that I like a fast vape I am down to 3 wraps average. that's why I have been thinking of a scenario where you could still use a thicker wire but have a lot more wraps. I guess a mechanical with stacked batts? but I don't think I could do that, I would be constantly thinking of an accident and wouldn't enjoy my vape. so until they make a protected mod that can push out 8 volts and mega amps a 3 wrap will have to do.
Yea...Thats what I though too with the Provari when I got it. After a long trial and error period, I actually did my homework on the device. Thats when I went mechanical high-power sub-ohm.
Now I just look at that expensive multimeter with the blinking blue light and think why even change the battery......

so if your one who likes 6v vaping at max watts the v-1 is actually a little more powerful. and you paid extra for the blue light special
? ...the v2 goes to 3.5 amps. The V1 is capped at 2.5 amps. So if you used 34g wire on the V1, it would be sizzlin....not vapeing.

if im reading this correctly, the v-1 at 6v will give you 2.5amps and 15 watts/ the v-2 at 6v will give you slightly less amps (2.42) and slightly less wattage(14.50) im not saying it would be a good vape . still payed more for the blue light

you know to be honest I don't remember , not even sure if I remember the v-1 as an option when I bought it, it was right at a year ago maybe. I did however get a polished ss one, don't think they make those any more. gdeal, do you do the rda thing? like dripping in cotton? seems like if those did work really well, and you use a sqonker box, the juice is always fresh.
