On their site it states "FDA proposes to extend its tobacco authority to additional tobacco products, including e-cigarettes". That's enough to say Hell No to the proposal. Regulate if you must but under its own category

Seems to me that this might be a good point to challenge in review and/or court: First, nicotine is not necessarily only derived from tobacco. And second, liquid does not always contain nicotine.

Doh! I actually started one of those threads (in the general e-smoking forum)--I was just signing out for the night when the top headline caught my eye (and Google said, 1 minute ago). So I turned around, posted it in the forum, and went to bed. 11 pages were posted by this morning. <Sigh!> I need more time to keep up with my new hobby!

Oh, BTY, there's also a petition: https://petitions.whitehouse.gov/petition/veto-fda-restrictions-e-cigarettes/kdKtpFH4

PLEASE STOP!!!

(1) We were asked to WAIT for CASAA to issue some guidance on what we should do and when.

(2) The petition contains false statements. The very first sentence is FALSE. The FDA has only PROPOSED regulations.

(3) The petition is poorly worded and contains spelling, grammar, and syntax errors. It doesn't help us if it reads as if it was written by a third-grader.

I understand how you feel; we're all _____ (nervous, scared, angry). But we can't go off half-cocked on our own with a petition here and a letter there. We need to put forth a unified effort and we need to do it intelligently.

Please don't sign the petition. WAIT for CASAA's guidance.

If you're not a member of CASAA, please join. If you are a member, please donate!
