Has it ever been proposed or petitioned that the FDA be investigated by the Government Accountability Office(GAO) for potential collusion with American tobacco companies or other state or federal revenue (tax) agencies? Not saying anything would come of it, but it would be nice to see them under a spotlight and on the defensive for awhile. Might just get a whistleblower in the process. We all know the FDA is crooked as hell and there is no such thing as a perfect crime. Might be a memo laying around somewhere that didn't get into the shredder.

Just a thought....

Just seems to me that for 30 years or so of being under siege as smokers (now vapers) we always went on the defensive. Obviously it hasn't worked. Maybe if we had questioned who was funding some of the anti-smoking groups (Big Pharma?) we could have stemmed the tide somewhat. Maybe we need to blow some "smoke" in faces for a change. Agreed, as smokers, we were lepers and it was hard to get traction for anything offensive. But as vapers...we just might have enough support and firepower. At least a shot across the FDA bow? That would at least be a morale booster. Everyone is so sad these days.

I don't even thing they try to hide it anymore..take for instance this FDA tobacco Products Scientific Advisory Committee that just got seated...12 chairs on that board..3 are big tobacco flunkies...and 4 are Big pharmacy flunkies..
Dr Siegel wrote about it on March 1 and 2 on his tobacco analysis blog here: The Rest of the Story: Tobacco News Analysis and Commentary

Well....I don't know. I posted the idea as an option to explore

The GAO has a fraud reporting page called Fraudnet. It has an instructional video, but appears more like a page for a whistleblower. Of course there is always their contact page, too, with email addresses. Perhaps it would be a matter of putting the idea into the ear of a sympathetic senator or representative. Or perhaps best proposed by one of the organizations supporting e-cigs.

How about a call for Congressional Hearings on the FDA's illogical war against a tobacco-harm reduction product? They are wasting a lot of tax dollars on this court case.

Vocalek, I agree especially since the new Tobacco Panel is made up of people who have conflict of interests (own BP stock, take grants from them) and are Crone's of the FDA. They are all pals for the most part too. Most all of them have worked for the FDA in one of the agency's the FDA oversees. The FDA has a number of agencies under it's umbrella and people don't realize it really is the FDA. It is all in what you call something that casues people to see things one way or another.
