More than likely they would have to sell the e-liquid and flavorings separate from each other and the consumer would have to combine them. That would be the only way I could see it happening.

This could get interesting, It may be a ways out but the landscape is changing. It's strange that they(FDA) is so concerned about nicotine (Tobaco) products, yet I can get 1000ml of 100mg/ml Nic juice sent to my house in 5 days with nothing but a credit card.

Thanks,
Jeff~

Screw the FDA...I'm just glad they can't ban them...of course there will be taxes, but with the internet, who pays taxes anyway? Use tax is paid on a state level, if you are honest enough to pay it, which most aren't.

Legaly, they could ban the marketing of tobacco products over the internet. It seems to me that a company would have to market a no nic solution. (Posible?)

Oh don't worry, Virginia is working out the kinks on getting internet sales tax. Coming soon to everyone to be sure...

Actually they can't in a practical sense. The same way they can't shut down kiddie porn, gambling, snuff, etc. sites. Companies will just have their site on non US servers.

When you can't stop the "how to make dirty bombs" sites, you don't have to worry about PV sites.

Federal government was trying to impose all seller's on eBay to pay taxes on their products. Didn't happen. Ebay threatened that they would go outside the US, international server, so that no tax could be imposed. Government loses again!

Even if they do eventually tax it and hopefully not near the level that cigs are I see this ruling as a great victory. If the FDA were to be able to control it as a drug you could probably kiss your supply of liquid and PVs good bye for a few years while it's undergoing testing then it would be re-launched by a pharmaceutical company in some form that is less effective and cost 10 times as much. Thankfully this isn't happening. :)

PS- It sure would be great if the FDA really was interested in public health and helping smokers quit.

Pamela and I are working hard to make sure we are fully in copliance with fda. hence the osha inspections. hence the spectro analysis, hence the quality production system we have.
We have always fully expected this.
The day and age of making juices in your house, or garage, or whatever are soon to be over. We are way ahead of that curve.
Thanks to all who have fully supported our endeavours to be in full compliance long before it comes... :)

Pretty well figured this was why you guys were doing this. I'm sure you've already been studying the laws the FDA will try to operate under and have contengency plans ready when things really start happening. Personally, I've been thinking about this as soon as the FDA started taking actions against this industry and wondering how things would shake out.

I have done some DIY but have stopped once I found you guys. I'm making preperations now for what I think will happen so I can be prepared personally. My only real concerns now are the "face to face" portion of the tobacco act and restrictions that may be imposed on private individuals in obtaining the nicotine base.

Based on how many vapers there are (count how many you have seen in public...zero for me) it is going to be years before anything changes. I really think we are worried about nothing...just my thoughts

It might be years before we see any meaningful changes, but everytime I go out of my door I have at least one, if not more, people asking me about vaping. They see me vaping and even if they don't 'smoke' they usually know someone who does. The best way to pass info is to get the 'free' ecf business cards and hand them out whenever someone has questions. Or else you could spend a lot of time explaining things. I went through my first fifty cards within a week. Getting ready to get more.
I personally think vaping is the greatest thing since potato chips and sliced bread.

Happy vaping. :)

I tend to agree with you. We see lots of new vapers on the forums, but I've yet to see anyone (besides my neighbor who I got into this) using a PV. We really are a very small group, and frankly, I would just as soon stay that way. Its always good to fly under the radar.

I got my father started vaping shortly after I started. He jokingly told me this evening that I should open up a store in the area with vaping supplies just due to the number of people he's talked to that are now interested in it. Our favorite tobacco store, that I still frequent on occasion, has some basic ecig stuff and is the only place I've seen so far in this area. Then again, I haven't gone out of my way looking for supplies as I can order most of it online and avoid the usery that are our state and local sales taxes. I wouldn't mind the FDA getting somewhat involved just for quality assurance but there's the nagging feeling at the back of mind that they seem to get a lot of big pharma support. When the FDA decides to "protect us from ourselves" it gets my contrary streak all kinds of fired up.
