We best hope they dont regulate it as tobacco

As it stands they are planning on banning all flavored tobacco products
Thar does include aromatic tobaccos of any flavor not naturally occuring in tobacco

If they do that and vapeing is considerd tobacco
No more strawberry flavored juices or other fruit or bakeury flavorings

I was not aware of the proposed ban on flavored tobacco products. Many cigars, most cigarettes, snuff, snus, chewing tobacco, pipe tobacco... etc.... would all have to be banned.

Could you provide a link or location of info regarding the ban on flavored tobacco products.

That sounds silly; are you saying define tobacco to mean strawberry or other fruit or bakery flavor?
LOL
That would be like defining a civil union between to guys as the same as 'marraige'............. oh..wait.............. :O

So what exactly does this mean for us in simple terms? Higher costs obviously, higher taxes obviously, age limit ristriction, warning labels and MDS? Re lableing, and having to follow and a hear to strict F.D.A. regulations reguarding ingredients? Am I missing anything else? I'm just really worried. I hope it does not require a replacement of ingredients. I don't want to be forced back to analogs. Finally something that really works to quit smoking and "they" have to go and ruin it. It's so sad.

Winter is coming... I don't think they should be allowed to regulate it "AS" a tobacco product, it should be in it own bracket, I do agree some standard of safety is needed with labels, childproof bottles ect. but what they are going to do is regulate it into non-existance I think.

Yes, they could regulate it into non-existence. The reason for this is on the first page of this forum - 195,000 +/- members and ~19,000 active. So we all go quietly into the night.
CASAA members - 8,700 not very many....

But nicotine is a tobacco by-product Nicotine is a naturally occurring chemical compound found in the tobacco plant

Oh, so now it's a by-product!

I guess Coca-Cola is coffee then, because it contains caffeine.

And would tomatoes be tobacco products too?

Even if the FDA does propose specific regulations (regardless of what those may be) Doesn't mean that's the end of the story.......... ANY proposed regulation can (and most likely WILL) challenged in court. In that instance the FDA will have to prove the soundness of their reasoning. The FDA isn't like the DEA which can unilaterally declare something illegal and virtually NO one can challenge it.

So no one wants vaping to be destroyed or harmed by regulation. I certainly don't .
A friend said the obvious regarding lawmaking or lack thereof - a fistful of dollars - is what it takes to get an ear.
Then a box full of dollars to get action.
There are supposed to be 195,000 members here. Who is our lobby group or our lobbyist - TVECA. Maybe.
CASAA , certainly.
Organization and the cost of 1 30ml bottle of premium e-liquid from every member could go a long way to helping our cause.
