Sorry SJ, I feel like every time I come to you I want something, but you are the ALL POWERFUL OZ around here.

This time I have come to ask for several new subforums for the modders section. We could really do with 4 new subforums to categorize the mods that are out there and the ones that are in progress. I propose separate subforums for Battery Mods, Atomizer Mods, Cart Mods, and Cosmetic Mods. We could have Stickies in each section of two types, How Tos and Discussions. In the How Tos, the OP could post up instructions, video, pics. In the Discussions, everyone could offer up opinions, advice, supportive cheerleading, etc. This way we could easily find the completed mods and the instructionals for them without clogging the thread with questions and thoughts - and the cool threads wouldn't get lost on the 10th page because those who have done the mod have moved on to other stuff, while the new modder can't find the instructions and desparately cries for help.

that "karma" would be used/abused by the spammers and prolific posters and mean nothing.
it would turn into an .... kissing contest , especially on this site
people know who to listen to through common sense and by thier own judgement

In regards to your concern that ".... kissing" would be such a problem, there's an option so that only mods can see who added/subtracted from someone's karma. But I don't know why that we be an issue here more then any other forum though.

And unfortunately from my experience reading people's responses, a lot of people don't seem to have very good common sense or judgment. I've seen people believing other people that nicotine isn't bad for you, people believing that it's been proven that e-cigs aren't bad and are in fact safe to use, and many other falsities. The truth is that when people have no other means to determine the validity of someone's rhetoric, they believe what they want to believe.

When looking at the main page it's possible to mark boards read by clicking on the folder icon. Would it be possible to have this feature for individual threads when looking through particular forums? It seems to be something that can only be done with folders containing unread posts but I'd like to be able to mark individual threads read that way too.

There seems to be a bit of talk about the supplier forums. Their order, prominence and lack of clarity that they are moderated by traders.

Might it be worth considering putting them in a mall or under a different heading like 'marketplace' to distinguish that they are not normal forum boards subject to usual moderation? Putting them underneath all the other boards might make a visual distinction too. The key thing is for people to be aware that although the forum is intended to be independent the trader boards are not. Confusion about that can lead to anger with members.

Is there anyway to perhaps put all the sponsoring supplier forums under categories so this way they can "sub categories" instead? It's such a long list to have to keep scrolling down the forums or trying to navigate to the supplier that sells to or is based in your area.

You can split them up based on the locations they sell to. For instance, bestecig and eastmall can be located under the international supplier subforum. Also for the title it should include what country they are based in so for instance, instead of just seeing their name you would see their name and (Country). I don't think it's fair that a lot of people have to guess and then even be forced to have to go to their forum/link spend countless time on their site to figure out where some of these people are from to then realize they can't order from there.

If that's too complicated at least include the country they are based in or mark them as international in the name of their forum title.

I will post them separately so that all are not dismissed because of one.

I think that Social Group owners should be permitted to invite suppliers/manufacturers to their group should it be appropriate. Say for my group which is for users/fans of the newly created Silver Bullet. We'd like halopunker and cddz in there.

I too think that in the General Discussion board the Stickied threads are out of control. There are so many at present that as a new user it was a bit overwhelming/off-putting, and now as someone who's been here a little longer it's just irritating to have to scroll past everytime.

Not sure how involved in the code the team here is, but if you could make the background for the stickied threads a different color, it would make them even more easily distinguishable for new and old users.

With in the Social Groups main page, there should be a place where we can create links that would show on the description area. For many groups there are important, group defining links, that would be relevant to post and make readily available to visitors just checking the group out, and to members getting to places we frequent.
