I don't want his business anymore and I don't want him deleting my thread. This thread is the truth and HE KNOWS IT. He knows this will effect his sales and that is why he wants to delete it.

Have a site mods move the thread!!

I have a machinist who will make me a cap for the GLV body I have. It won't have "soft Threads" as Jays units do. It won't have a faulty button like BOTH caps I got from Jay.

Most of all.........I want the ECF public to see how Jays business practices are.

and that is what I though, so not much chance in resolution. Best thing that could happen is for this thread to just be moved. I could understand not wanting a thread like this in a suppliers personal forum as its not so much a complaint as an attack. 420 has a serious vendetta against jay and is most likely going to find every opportunity to bad mouth him.

It confuses me as 420 says he hopes jay gets his stuff right and that he likes the concept and design, but also says he will be letting everyone know every chance he gets how crappy glv is.

Jay I would just ask to have the thread moved and let 420 continue to vent.

The shipping thing....not a deal breaker , for me....things happen, life happens...i get alot of things shipped a little late....

The main problem here is the device...

Clumsy.....My MAIN problem is Jay LIED. I agreed to the powder coated caps......I've stated that. I broke the first cap ( after I had to fix the faulty button first).....I've stated that too.

My problem is the lies. If it ain't sent out and it's sitting there on your desk beside the computer and you say you sent it out........You have lied. He Lied. That is Bad Business!!!!!!! Did he wait to get my money? Matter of fact...I sent the payment first thing that week, after I told him it may be the end of the week.....but wanting my unit fixed as soon as possible, I sent payment first thing Monday. Read my OP.

And then to beat it all......the powder coated caps did not work.

I can post pics of the crappy envelope he sent them it. Unprotected inside a Photo Envelope. Dated Jan.19 and shipped for under 2 bucks.

Its very simple. Anyone who has had a issue with ordering, or their GLV knows that i go as far as to give my personal phone number to help my customers. I have been in business for over 10 years and iv learned you are going to get people like this, who go banana's over a small issue. The rest of you that use and love your GLV know Im very easy to talk to and as helpful as i can be.

look at the rest of the forum page and will see what i mean.

I don't have a PERSONAL problem with Jay. I have a problem with people who lie and have bad business practices.

I do hope Jay gets his act together. I do hope he can one day put out quality products.

My personal issues are none.

If I seen Jay broke down on the side of the road.......I'd help him. This isn't personal......IT IS his bad business practices. Or at least the ones he displayed to me.

I know i said I was done i would like to Thank 420 for his rant. Because of this i sold 5 GLV's in the last 2 days... good stuff. Oh yeah your 15$ was sent.

What you should have done was kept the $15 and sent him a new shipment of 'working caps'. IMO, making fun of a customer who is frustrated with your customer service and the product that you sold to him is not very impressive.

It is up to YOU to make it right - give him what he purchased. (Do what you have to do to GET those parts ASAP. They're your responsibility.)

A supplier that is unable to supply parts for what he sells, especially when those parts appear to have occasional problems on the original product, is not impressive either.

It tells me that if I buy your product, I may wind up with a useless dust collector due to your inability to provide.

I understand your statement that running a business is not easy. It takes responsibility, time, energy and commitment to making your customers happy, as well as providing a product that people want to buy.

I really hope you'll put in the time and energy to make this situation right.

I almost bought a GLV myself, but decided not to add one to my collection as well. Simply due to the fact that if a part went bad, Id be out a unit for an unknown time :(
I had an issue with the adapter of my prodigy V2 and it was shipped promptly and had my unit working in less than a week. I have had zero issues with all my other mods so if this kind of shipping delay and lack of spare parts is an issue, well Im good with what I have.

I DID use 420s GLV and thought it worked well..when it worked, but when he opened his package the first thing I noticed was all the wiring/regulater exposed in the top cap. I was very surprised it was not covered up w some delrin or some sort of protection period. That worried me. Second, the protected batts that came with it didnt fit. 420 had o "shove" the batts in and ebded up ruining a battery. Worry #2. If Jay were to cover the wiring and hone/widen the tube a bit, I would see this as a great improvement and then if he proves his ways in handling customer service issues has improved, I may be more open to a purchase. However, after seeing this thread....Im definately wary of GLV period.

Same here CTJ. I wanted a GLV but not any more. There's so much competition out there for our dollar that we can be choosy, and threads like this one make the choices a lot easier for who gets my business.

You can tell he doesn't see what I've been talking about.....look at the first sentence in post #91. ( the Shipping "thing" aside comment). He knows he messed up but he is to much of a man to admit fault.

Not only have I known CTJ for 15+ years......BUT she happens to sleep in the bedroon across from mine in the house we are sharing right now!!!! She has seen this whole thing come to a head from day 1.

LOL...well no wonder she knew so much about your problem!!!!!!!! I didn't know that!!!!;) She's sweetheart and I consider her my buddy...as most people here do, I'm sure!:)

Well you need to call and talk to him. He's the only one who can help you. I hope it all turns out ok for you.

Dispite what Jay said about customers calling him with their problems. He never ONCE offered his number to me. I'm not intrested in doing business with Jay anymore. I got a guy I've been friends with for 20 years who owns a machine shop......I've talked to him. He has my business in fixing my unit.
