I've been vaping for a couple months and recently began getting aggravated with cartomizers. I use small 808 threaded stick batteries and despite all I've been told, I don't really want to move to anything bigger. I started testing clearomizers but they always leaked, cracked, or tasted burnt. I recently got a pack of e-smart clearomizers from vapor kings. They are great! Feel pretty heavy duty, no leaking, great flavor, long wicks, and good vapor. They are only a smidge wider than my battery, not big enough to look to top heavy. I wasn't expecting to like them because in all my research I hadn't heard much about them and I have been told many times that unless I upgraded I was doomed to be frustrated. Am I crazy?? Has anyone else had success with these?

Haven't tried them, but I've yet to read a negative comment on the forum about them.

As far as being disappointed with stick batteries, it really comes down to personal preference. When I first joined these forums, I followed conventional wisdom and immediately upgraded to a larger manual battery. I've mentioned this many times recently, but in my 6+ months of vaping it's only been the last month that I've quit smoking completely. It took dripping on a super-mini automatic for me to accomplish that and I'm completely satisfied with my current setup.

So, yeah. If it's working then stick with it until it no longer does. :)

I've not heard of the e-smart clearomizers, but if they work for YOU that's all that matters :) Opinions are fine to get a feel for vaping stuff, BUT that doesn't mean YOU will have the same experience or opinion that someone else does :)

If you're happy with your 808 batteries you are not doomed to frustration or crazy. Lots of people love their 808's besides you :) Vaping should be all about what makes YOU satisfied and not about what anyone thinks you should need ;)

Try getting that opinion across in the New members forum some time. ;)

Hiya. I'm another 808 user who doesn't intend to upgrade in the very near future; I like the small form factor and as I've said before, not everyone want to toke on something that looks like a flashlight or a mini-ICBM. Anyway, I got my E-smart starter kit today and I agree completely about the clearos - they're great. The batteries are cool too, even though they only have a little more capacity than regular 808s. The E-smart is a very sleek and stylish-looking package, vapes well and I love the fact that it's backwards-compatible with my other 808 stuff (except for the chargers).

I agree and think its a great setup for stealth vaping at work.

If you want to carry it around with you in your front pocket I found the clip part off of a disposable pen cap works good. You just have to cut it off and split it to open it up a little.

Heres mine with the pen clip on it.

Nice! I've been slipping it into the lanyard that holds my work badge. It looks like I'm just carrying a slightly odd-looking pen.

The fact that the E-smart battery doesn't have a light at the end - just a fairly inconspicuous one on the switch that's covered up by one's finger - makes it perfect for stealth-vaping. I really like the draw I get from the E-smart clearo/battery combo and they look great together. I just wish replacement batteries were a little cheaper; you can buy other 808-threaded batteries of twice the capacity for the same price.

I've been buying these little cartomizers for my eGo disguised as a fountain pen. They work well enough for me, though they leak a little after a few refills with a needle tip juice bottle ...

I'd like to find just the cartomizer replacement, instead of paying for the metal cap and sleeve every time ...

This cartomizer and a 450 mAh Ego battery clips nicely into a shirt pocket ...
