I for one am all for this......

I think they should deducted in everyone's payroll, and give everyone Heath Care in America. Why not? If we can find money to kill people; then we should be able to find money to help people.

Our Government has given us the best Military in the world. The same should thought about medicine, but with medicine we could help the world not just ourselves.

Why should someone have to be on their deathbed to get help in the Greatest Nation in the World if we like to call ourselves that?

If you want private health care then you will still be able to get it. In most countries that have the heathcare provide for them they only get the drugs that work. Not the drugs that will only let you live for 3 extra months. I for one would give up my 3 months if I knew that I would have some kind of treatment no matter what.

Considering that there are tons of jobs that pay so little that people can barely afford to make bills and provide food for their families this has to be the most ridiculous idea ever. Forcing people to get health coverage is just wrong. Most people can't afford health coverage and don't start talking about medicare medicaid whatever that crap is. There are those people out there that make just over the limit that they can't get in these programs, but at the same time can't afford private health care. To fine individuals because they can't afford it is the most asinine thing I have ever heard of in my life. Just because you can afford it does NOT mean everyone can and it's criminal to fine these individuals because they can't afford it.

You had to pay social security for all your working life for it only to be based on the last ten years of your working life to what you would get back.

Now they have changed this rule, but it was like that for a LONG TIME. In a ways that is the same thing.

Like you said most people can't afford heathcare, and make just over the limit for medicaid. Everyone in the US should be given some forum of heathcare no matter what. If taxing the whole is what it takes then that is what it should be. Today's Medicaid should be dropped and totally redone.

This will just force companies to pay you a little more to cover it. If you think about it, they are getting away with murder right now with pay. In the 70s minimum wage compared to today's money was worth around 10 dollars an hour.

Adjusting for inflation, men in their thirties make less today than their fathers' generation made in the 1970s.

It's time to stop overpaying CEOs enough to keep their families rich for many generations to come at the expense of workers paid poverty wages today.

Even the state with the highest minimum wage, Washington at $7.93, doesn't match the buying power of the federal minimum wage at its peak in 1968. Worth $9.56 in today's dollars, the 1968 minimum wage was more than $2 higher than the scheduled raise in the federal minimum wage to $7.25 on July 24, 2009.
