I am by no means a Provari fanboi, but I'm compelled to comment.

Stating that a Provari is "outdated" because it doesn't have all of the features of the Vamo, Zmax, ect, is ridiculous. If you follow that line, then I guess all mechs should be taken off the shelves. Because they don't have anything except a tube and a battery.

The Provari is built like a tank, has good useable features, has a warranty and the support to back it up. THAT is what you're paying for. None of the Chinese mods have this kind of support. If your Chinese mod stops working after it's warranty you have to buy a new one. Maybe you get lucky and the vendor replaces your non functioning mod after the warranty is up, but youre rolling the dice.

Now (and I know I'm gonna get crap from Provari owners) the Provari will not make your juice taste better. It doesn't vape any better than a Vamo or a Zmax or my Tesla. It will not stop hot juice hits from getting into your mouth.

I've tested my Provari along side of my Tesla. Same juice, same tank. The Provari had a tighter draw using my Pro Tank, because the Pro Tank sits flush with the top. The juice tasted a little burnt when vaping the Tesla at the same 4.8v as the Provari. I backed the Tesla down to 4.6v and the juice was fine. It had the same vape and the same flavor as the Provari.

If you like your Vamo or your Zmax or your Evic or your Ego that's great. Any day away from analogs is a good day. Just because a mod costs more money does not mean that it will vape better than one that costs less.

Now Provari owners- you know who you are- It's one thing to be proud of your purchase, there's nothing wrong with that. But when you berate someone for owning anything other then a Provari, then all other Provari owners look bad. It's gotten to the point on ECF that if you own a Provari you're automatically labeled a fanboi. And I don't like that label. And I'm sure that other owners don't either. Thanks for reading. :)

"Another thing that is of value to me about the provari is when you change the battery, everything is just as you left it; not so with the vamo."

As I pointed out in a previous post, this is not the case with the Vamo in VW mode. Any Provari owner out there prepared to accept that point? I'm getting awfully tired of hearing constant streams of fanboyism about a device that refuses to move with the times. People often say "It doesn't need to." Don't you know how protectionist and stupid that sounds?

I know that you have all paid large sums of cash for your devices and therefore love them . What you have to understand is that Vamo owners have paid small sums of money (and therefore love them) and are proud of the fact that they also do VW - which can be handy.

All the Rolls Royce/ Ford Popular arguments are both old and innaccurate imho (each side will choose which one the Rolls Royce is).

A good vaping device is one that vapes well irrespective of price tag or country of origin.

My love of the Provari has nothing to do with "fanboyism".
It's got everything to do with the fact it works reliably,is built like a tank and will last me for years.

I had a Vamo, it's a good mod, I much prefer the Provari and I'm happy with the price I paid.

You love your Vamo and VW - I don't - different strokes for different folks.

So, does "fanboyism" apply to vamo owners as well? Or is it only applied to happy provari owners?

That's a good point.

Apparently, you can extol the virtues of the Vamo/Zmax/SVD as much as you like without being a fanboy.
Same with Variable wattage, this place seems to be filling up with VW "Nazi's".
The Provari doesn't have VW? - it's behind the times!

Most of the longer term vapers that I know have absolutely no need whatsoever for VW - if you prefer it on your devices then I'm happy for you. I'm very happy not using on the mods that I own.

As I stated before, if you own a Vamo and you love it then I'm happy for you - if you don't want a Provari then don't bloody buy one - or bother posting your view on how crap they are for the money.

If you've never owned a Provari, you're not really qualified to talk about it.

If an ego 900 mah bat does what it needs to do for you it is every bit as good as the Provari or Vamo. I have a zmax2 and it's nice. My vv ego or my 900 mah ego for work or yard work does very nicely though.

Actually a fair point but the reliability, longevity and consistency are different altogether.

This one will, sadly, run and run. We're all vaping and, in the end, that's all that matters.

Says the person who poured gasoline on the fire.

It is if you use variable wattage. Does the Provari do that?

I have a friend who is a vendor and just recently he received an entire shipment of Vamo's that were all faulty.
He also sells Provari's - he sells a lot of them, admittedly not as many as the Vamo.

One faulty Provari since he started selling them a year ago.

Three things;
The Vamo is a 33.3hz mod, vape quality isn't even slightly in the same league as the Provari.
VW is preference based and not a necessity.
Your Vamo will be dead or acting up within 6 months.

You'll note that my initial response was caused by someone saying something inaccurate about the Vamo, which irritated me. I wanted to correct the false impression that was being given of the Vamo's functionality, which I did.

Of your three things, (1) is subjective, (3) is conjecture, (2) - well, it's just a statement of fact. Being able to check your battery level is preference based and not essential. It doesn't mean that it's not useful, though.

Let it rest now. You have your fixed opinions which I have no wish to attempt to change. Goodbye.

But you omitted to mention that it does in VW mode. This needed stating in the context. Job done.

Vamo "fanboys" are all the same.

No conjecture about the reliability of the Vamo - I do repair work for the vendor I mentioned, the Vamo has a very high failure rate - that's a statement of fact. There have been so many returns due to faults that he's stopped selling them despite good sales.

33.3hz mods don't vape the same, no flat output, no comparison - I've owned them both unlike yourself.

Incidentally, the earliest Vamo's didn't remember wattage after a battery change.

e-pipeman, this has been stated several times. YOU DO NOT OWN A PROVARI, therefore you are technically unable to objectively speak about both devices. All you seem to care about is vw on the vamo. I'm wondering out of all the pros of a provari, why aren't you speaking about any of them...

The title of the thread is "First impressions of Vamo vs Provari". It is possible, I would have thought, to argue for the merits of the Vamo in this context. Anything with "Vamo vs Provari" in the title is setting itself up as an "adversarial" thread where proponents of either device will chime in. There have been many of them, and doubtless many more. It is not necessary to own both devices to discuss the merits of the one you do own. It is also possible to know the features of a device without owning it - otherwise how would anyone choose what to buy? Of course I wouldn't comment on how a Provari vapes, as I have not vaped it. I can say that it has one button and it is a vv only device as these are facts in the public domain. If everyone had to own devices under discussion on this forum there would be very few posts or threads.

Try not to get too steamed up about comments in a thread. SHOUTING does not help your argument. You might also Google "ad hominem".

But it's okay to label us "fanboys" because we're talking about the merits of a device you've never actually used?

Ok, so you are unwilling to speak about any of the pros of the provari that are "in the public domain?"

Discussing TWO devices. Please see the thread title. BTW it's impossible to eat cake unless you first have it.
