Oh, my gosh! I got it to work!

My Protoge with 901 and 510 adapters arrived this weekend. I charged the batteries and then this morning sat down with the array of parts that came with my order. This is my first PV, so its a little daunting (!)

I look at the directions which are written in the tiniest type I've ever seen. Then pull up Casey's Atomizer Attachment video - very nice. Then move along to Steve's outdated How To video. With the videos and the directions I sorta-kinda-sorta figure it out. I take my first puff . . .. oh my gosh! Wow. This is strange! This is wonderful! My goodness!

I had read so much before ordering that I think I re-confused myself. I knew I needed a device to go along with the reading. You have to start somewhere and this is quite the nice somewhere!

Glad you are happy with the Protege. I am very pleased as well although if it were my first, I would have been daunted by the instructions that I cannot read and for another device as well.

Nothing else to complain about though. Glad I saw other posts re:not screwing down the atty to hard. There is a small gap between the atty and t the base of the adapter, but it is hidden by the "cup" on the adapter so is a non-issue. Great battery life at over 7 hours after a few cycles on the charger, nice vapor on the 901 with more flavor than my 510.

All in all a great little device. My vaping friends have Protege envy.

Had a few issues with ordering from the PS site, but Casey was pretty prompt about taking care of those. Just waiting for more PS juice now and back up attys. I was confused about DSE901 vs RN4075. I would recommend that for newer users, when ordering attys the sales site clearly states compatibility. I had to look it up to make sure I was ordering the right ones.

All in all a great device and a good company to deal with.

Congrats Blueberry !!!! Here's hoping it does the trick, and you become a dedicated Vaper !!!! Best of luck, and keep us posted on how you do!

Should be getting mine here in the next couple days and it is my first PV as well and I am excited. Glad I did the reading too and know not to crank down the atomizer too tightly.

Congrats to you as well Fodder! Hope you enjoy it !!! Never hurts to read up and watch as many video's as possible to prepare yourself!

Never hesitate to ask questions here! Either Casey or Myself, or the friendly ECF members here are always willing to help out!

You have no idea how lucky you are. Most of us went through many devices before we found something this nice.

Enjoy your new best friend! :)

Gibby – Ya, I laughed to myself when I invented that word ‘re-confused’! But that’s exactly what happened!

Kevin – At first the ‘instructions’ looked like a black post card with lines on it! It took my reading glasses, a magnifying glass, and closing my right eye to read the words. But Casey sent me a pdf; that girl’s a one armed paper hanger! She gets everything done! I thought of her, when I was opening my package – thinking she probably is the one who packed it. I like ‘knowing’ the people. In a way its like buying from a “mom and pop store”.

Lex – Even though I’ve nothing to compare to, the vapor with the 901 is huge. Even with the tiniest puff – which is my present pace! I ordered back up batteries and atomizers for both the 901 and 510 right from PS – for one thing why not, for the other thing there are no compatibility issues. When I hear DSE901 vs. RN4075 my brain starts to shut down. It seems to me sometimes in the PV world people call the same part by different names, course I could be confused . . . . Yes, PS seems like a great company to me too; that was a large part of my decision. I wanted a reliable device, from a trustworthy company, and being able to support manufacturing in the U.S. is a bonus. Not much of the latter going on for some decades now!

Fodder – Oh, great! Happy for me, happy for you! We’ll be comparing notes!

Cash – Aw, thanks so much for your welcome! I am always thinking, ‘there’s always something new around the corner,’ and isn’t that the truth? I only heard about PV’s maybe 6 weeks ago; some news article. Then you Google and voila. Here I am!

Lotus – Yes, I had read up on these PV’s and I was looking to bypass a lot of grief (!) People looking to spend less $, wind up spending more. Ya, it is sweet looking, hey . . .

Thank you to everyone who sent me a welcome . . . : )

a2d – Ooops, missed you in my previous post! Yes Steve and Casey have a lot on their plate! Seeing what they were up against I was surprised to get my order as quickly as I did.

I see where I would have had 6 cigarettes by now, I’ve had 2, without it being a conscious thought. I had no idea if it was something I would like, so a little out on a limb to select the Protégé, but really not a whole lot all things considered. If this is something I adopt into my life I’ll be adding a second major device – I’d do that switch problem or not. Thank you for your post!
