This is a brand new vendor that gave out some free samples to redditors a week or two ago. Now today, Five Pawns sent these "exclusive" offers only through e-mail to those select few who might have the honor of paying for their juice before they start offering it to the public. This exclusive offer gives these lucky few a chance to pay $27.50 for a 30ml bottle of mediocre/average tasting juice according to most reviews who received the free samples. But dont worry, you get free shipping!

Of course, Reddit's vaping community did not take this lightly...

The vendors response to reddit's pricetag shock?

"lol"

yes, this was their first response to everybody.

Nope spent $30 on a bottle 30ml of Jameson's Irish Vapor: Peaches and Cream. I would do it again. Best flavor I had yet and unfortunately sold out and only one licensed distributor. And its seasonal. I didnt love the other flavors except for Melon Melody.

But that price is from a B&M right? Youre talking about Vaperev? They have a higher overhead which is reasonable but coming from an online dealer, not much overhead which just means hunger for money.

Exactly guppy. Love that spot. Thats how I got off the analogs. By going there. And absolutely loving peaches and cream. I havent wanted one analog since. Too bad their stock on peaches and cream is out. Trying to use it sparingly and have picked up new awesome flavors from there as well.

I was just there this Sunday with a buddy of mine. I wanted to see what juice selections they had and man... They've got a selection... I was hoping they had some of the smaller craft juices to try. I'm about a 20 minute drive from that spot. Good spot by the way. Have you looked into vapor loft in orange? I hear very good things about that place as well.

I really like that Vape Rev. I am big on the game they are selling and the small boutique type brands they are carrying. Most are exclusive to Vape Rev.

I have not gone out to Vapor Loft as I am in Torrance. And even Vape Rev is a stretch for me. I also go to Vape Guys in Gardena. Nice dudes own that shop.

I also have a coworker whose friends own Vapor Craze in Long Beach and I hear good things about that place too.

VaperRevolution? It's SoCal. They have a fancy cool lounge, looks like a you know, dispensary. Everybody's mellow. They sell Virgin Vapor, Plume Room, their own stuff, etc..
SoCal has more fun and you're paying for the vibe.

If I lived in SoCal I'd have enough money to live in SoCal, and to pay for the vibe, too. Where did I go wrong? :(

What people say is one thing but to try it yourself is another.. I was able to try the 5 flavors offered (I guess hence the name "5 Pawns"). One of them definitely caught my taste buds.. "Gambit". I would of paid $40 for it, no problem (not saying it like as if I have all this money to spend on juice). This is now one of my favs in comparison of 100+ juices I've tried so far

I read the thread. Man, some of those posters were totally unforgiving! The owner Vinnie gave a reason for his "LOL" (appears it was taken out of context) and the sharks pounced immediately. They just shredded him up!

There are two ways of handling this: 1) note their prices, realize they're not for you, and move quietly on, or 2) make a rant thread (not this one, the one on reddit) and then proceed to tear a new vendor a new balloon knot. Wow. Just wow. Mods, take note of this reddit thread, and please, I pray, we never sink to this level of immediate muckraking.

I'm all about watchdog posts, but sometimes people get waaaaay too enraged over something such as price. If I paid 30$ for 30 mL of juice and it sucked, what can I do? Return it? ("How the hell are you gonna mail me a Sundae?!") I could rant, yes, but I see no point in ranting. It's good for catharsis, but it very rarely changes anything. Spilled milk and all.

If this guy is charging whackadoo prices and you haven't paid him anything, speak your piece and move along.

There is a quirk in human nature, many times we think, 'if it is expensive it must be worth the price', there are many humans who will swear that something is the best, just because they overpaid for it.

Starbucks burns the crap out of cheep coffee beans and sells them for a premium, so they must be good. Some "Mod Makers" sell fifty cents worth of poorly machined steel (or even aluminum) for hundreds if dollars and call them "collectable". Scientology is a religion based entirely upon this premise.

P.T. Barnum, perhaps the greatest philosopher of the modern age, understood this the best. Google his quotes for more understanding.....

** there may be some expensive juices that are worth the $$ (IMHO NHaler sleepy time green tea is one) . And not all Mod Makers are overcharging for crap...
