Great to see all the FEV love. It really is an amazing atomizer. I wish I could have 1 more. Actually I have all the parts to put together another one, just need an base. I should just order one , but the 30 bucks in shipping kills me.

Oh BTW, Trollie, or should I say TrollDragon,
What is that mod on the right? Ive seen that on the FEV FB page and its nice to see another 23mm device that is so nice looking.

So I added a fused clapton to mine. I offset the coil towards the air hole on mine.
Two strand of 29 gauge Resistherm wrapped with 34 gauge Kanthal. About 3 mm id.
Pretty thick plumes of flavor it be.
I'd been wanting to try this wire on something, made it up more than a month ago.

I would say that it is a Vapor Giant V 2.5 18650 Mod and is a very nice looking mod.

I was just looking through my various boxes of "vape stuff" and found a nice FEV3 clone I got a while ago. I broke the base on first try and Im kinda glad I waited ordering one. Is there a site that sells the FEV3 base only that is not wired?
I doubt you will find a wireless base for the V3 other than the original. I'd just get one of these and enjoy the spare FeV. :thumb:

I haven't the slightest idea (well maybe) how to disassemble my Hotcig base to see this wire.
Next time I recoil I'll strap a piece of solid copper wire across the posts and use atomizer analyzer in EScribe and see how it fares.

Funny yesterday I decided to try to open up my original tobecco base. It was still working fine but after setting with juice, some seeps into the base over time, and it's 2 yrs old.. I wanted to rinse it out and have a look at the wires and see.

This base is press fitted and couldn't get it loose. I Pulled the center pin first then unscrewed the positive post. Thinking the wire would be free to spin, except for the hot glue holding it up.. It was still good and connected.. But I messed with it too much and broke it off. Worked the hot glue, that was Insulating the post solder, out of the base.

Tried to solder it with a heavier wire got the post side done, but I couldn't get the solder to stick to the positive pin surface, too smooth or something. Either need some Flux or to sand it.. I guess sanding it may work. And damn it every time I solder with this cheap iron I burn myself.

Here's some pics I took. (wow they suck)

(the wire was from a good outdoor cat5 cable)

Two years running and still my daily driver.

Looks wonderful, I think it looks real nice, but have to admit, I thought it was bit clunky and sort excessive in length. I was told to give it a try by a good ECF buddy and never looked back. I love the way it looks on most everything, especially nice on box mods. ( flask mods too!)
