It's not necessary to use the Lemo Drop...but OK. I don't know the air port size, maybe 2.5mm? I'm currently using 28ga wire.

If you have any 30 gauge try it. If the air port is 2.5 mm make the coil so it is 2.5mm OD by 2.5mm wide. For 30 gauge (0.25mm) that would be a 10 wrap contact coil.

The key is to keep the coil within the airflow.

Ohh so your familiar with the El Diablo Baal ? massive airflow, massive deck, massive top cap to keep it cooler for low ohm builds, great for cloud comps ................

Yes I am.

I'm only pointing out that low ohms does not equate to high wattage.

W=V•A

Note that resistance is not in that equation.

Now if the OP was using a unregulated mechanical mod the equation would be diferent.

I am a flavor chaser. The smaller chamber is helpful. There are a lot of things that are helpful. As to an rta, I like the Eden Rose V2. The UD ATA T5 is a little more open. The Rose in particular has minimal air flow and very good juice wicking in its design. The minimal air is really just enough to slowly cross the burning coil and bring the vapor to the drip tip. It requires a slooow draw. About 5-6 seconds. Yes, it is a Tootle Puffer RTA. Get a lot of flavor, though.

For flavor...small chamber, less air and slow draw. It is a step forward for flavor IMHO.

The problem with that reply is I'm not a tootle puffer. I'm much more of a flavorchaser, and will make sacrifices to get it. That being said, I'm still curious if there's a way to harmoniously have both flavor and frugality.

If you don't want big vapor, then you ARE a tootle puffer. But there are a lot of options for big flavor without big vapor -- my favorite is the Achilles RDA; the super-inexpensive ones from Frog in Fog are gone, and I see that the $40 ones are also now gone. There haven't been authentic Achilles in some time, but there are authentic Achilles 2 RDAs available, from titanium-mods.com, but they are very expensive, 115 euros, which comes to about $126. Frog in Fog says that Yeahsmo is going to be making clones of the Achilles 2, but no word as to when they will be available.

Next best would be the Kayfun Lite Plus. Magma is also good, if you can put up with the leaking.

What this guy said. It's uncanny how cool of a vape it is at 35w. I was having coughing issues with the Lemo Drop and even moreso with the Subtank before it. The Baal is incredible, and I straight lung hit it hard with no coughing issues. Nice cool vapory deliciousness.

Lots of confusion going on in this thread, and I'm not sure why. People seem to think I don't want the clouds, but I never said I don't want them. I don't care either way, as long as I'm not spending $5/day on juice and it tastes good. I guess I can change the thread title to make it less misleading, as I meant the clouds are a product of eating up too much juice.

I'll be trying some single coil builds on this deck this weekend to see if I can get something comparable.

The RDA i suggested to you will give you a noticeable difference in flavor from what you have, add stainless steel wire / koh gen do to the mix, but it is a smaller top cap with top airflow and could end up choking you out, personally might have to test for yourself ...............

Ok.. I skipped a few posts, so this may have been suggested. For tanks, my go-to tank has become a Taifun GT2 built at .8 ohms at around 20 watts.. that's my sweet spot. it offers me enough warmth, excellent flavor, and the taste is on top. Only time I have had better flavor, was with a juice guzzling tri coil on the TFV4. It is a rebuildable though. I also like the good 'ole tugboat RDA and Derringer for my dripping needs. I haven't found a need to get any others. Another notable mention, is my fogger V4.0, but I lost the fill screw and it's been out of action for a few months.

If the only thing you're really concerned about is the cost of going through so much liquid then you could maybe try making your own and you won't need to worry about how much you are using. DIY is far cheaper than buying ready made.

Just an idea... :)

I have been toying with this idea for several months. It's tough to pull the trigger on all the supplies and spend all the time working out recipes, but I really want to do this for the obvious cost savings. I started building my own coils a while ago just to save some money and I realized the coils I made were better for me than the ones I had been purchasing, and they were a tiny fraction of the cost. :)

Just remember you don't have to necessarily go from zero to full blown diy.
I buy 24mg (or 18mg in some cases), and basically dilute it 10 to 1 with vg+10% water.

Better then spending all the time worrying about your juice consumption ? and by this time next year the availability and price will be devastating ..............

Huh? o_O

I can run a 0.3 ohm coil at 10W or a 1 ohm coil at 40W.

Please clarify

With a regulated mod yes, and depending on the wire used to achieve the OHM rate you could even match the Heatfluxes. .3ohm at 10w 25awg HF of 208 vs 1ohm at 40w 24awg 250HF Granted you might not want to vape from either of these coils as specified..

Massive clouds are only possible with massive juice consumption -- the clouds have to be made of something. If you don't want to spend a lot on juice, then either you have to tootle puff, or you have to make your own juice -- I use the very expensive Inawera Shisha Strawberry in mine, 16%, and even a bit of WTA, but it's still just .10 per ml. With less costly flavors, and without WTa, it would cost a lot less.
