This may sound silly, but I'm not really minding this weather at all......it's a departure from what we're accustomed to, but at the same time, it reminds me of home without the drastic temps most Northerners are feeling right now. Rain, freezing temps allow the use of all those comfy throws and sweaters that were put away in the chests.

Ours is not as bad as you, I am further south, but will have to retire the shorts and go back to long pants and a jacket.

This may sound silly, but I'm not really minding this weather at all......it's a departure from what we're accustomed to, but at the same time, it reminds me of home without the drastic temps most Northerners are feeling right now. Rain, freezing temps allow the use of all those comfy throws and sweaters that were put away in the chests.

I didn't click the disagree button, but I disagree. I don't like anything below 50F, but it's not too bad if it warms up to the 70'sF during the day.

Also, I know it's temporary and will see the sun in a few days or even in a few hours with higher temps, so that gives me a sense of 'it's all OK'!

I left the north because I hate cold weather and snow, and sweaters and throws. I know in my area we occasionally get some cold weather, historically 30s at night, usually in January but these 20+ degree nights are not normal.

I go to Homosassa, on the gulf side, and also go through Ocala to get there. Lunch sounds great. But meeting ECF'ers sounds even better. LOL Let me know when and where.

SOMEONE SHOOT ME!!! Low 20s again?!?! I REALLY hope this is all of the fridged arctic type temps for this winter. Shoot, the beach is gettin ready for spring break about now. I love Florida but I could learn to love somewhere in the Caribbean too if this goes on much longer! Lol

They got a commitment for money from the State after Matthew to rebuild the dunes & beaches, but didn't actually start until a couple of weeks ago. This was two days ago:

Just received an alert from Alex Clark, CEO (CASAA), re Proposal 65…which ostensibly proposes a referendum amending the FL constitution to proscribe public [indoor] vaping, to be placed on the ballot in Nov. This is horribly short notice for this apparently first public meeting of the Constitutional Revision Commission (CRC) on this issue. For this critical question with profound individual rights implications, participants will only be allowed 2 minutes to voice their opinion!
