Wow man !!!! Excellent. Thanks for the advice. I love it. So....what you are saying is steep with the cap off for a day or so if you want to give it a good try, BUT......BUT.....if you want to let it steep for longer you should do so with the cap ON.......

Is there some sort of steeping process you go through for the long periods? Could you explain it? Or....is it simply storing it with the cap on in a dark place (like a closet or something).

Flux. I will take back everything I said and put it on PAUSE until one month from now.....with the proper steeping procedure that is.

Also.....since I have had them steeping for 4+ days now with the tops off.....am I screwed?

Harplayr is right, it is simply letting them sit in a cool dark place. When I was new, that made me think the fridge was the best thing, but no, I did one in the fridge and one out, and the one in a cool, not cold place was best. If you have let them sit that long with the cap off, you will probably find that the alcohol taste is much more mild. It does not ruin the juices, but you will just reduce the long term potential of them. I thought butterscotch had a strong strong alcohol taste, so I let one sit with the cap off, and one sit with the cap on. With the cap off, the alcohol taste was reduced, within two days. The one with the cap on was basically the same after two days. Next, I let them both sit with the cap on for one month, in a cool dark place. The one that had the cap off originally, steeped in a different way. The flavors did not meld together as well, I could taste, BUTTER, then the other flavors. The individual components did mature, but they did not mate with each other as well, but it was still good. The one that had the cap on the whole time, was butterscotch flavor all mixed together. The flavors had blended seamlessly. Also, the juice got a lot darker than the one with less alcohol. With banana split, the same thing happened. With the cap on, the juice got very red, the cherry developed in a big way, but with the cap off, it was vapeable sooner, but over time, nothing special really happened. Alcohol blending is used in many things, from liquor to making food flavorings. To put it simply, think of two pieces of caramel candy as molecules of flavor in your juice. If you let those two pieces of candy sit in water for a month, the water would taste like caramel. If, however, you let those pieces of candy sit in alcohol, you would get something that tasted more blended, stronger, and smoother. You steep so you flavors can mix together, and become smooth yet strong. After steeping for two weeks to a month, you can then leave the cap off for a day or two if the alcohol is still too strong, because it has already done most of what it is supposed to. Personally, I take the juice out right when I get it, and put it in brown glass dropper bottles. The brown glass blocks most of the UV rays, so you don't need to worry about light as much, and it also doesn't off gas. Plastic off gases chemicals. Plastics today are better than ever, but it still has an effect. I make my own mustard, and if I store it in glass and some in plastic, the mustard stored in the plastic slides off of the knife when I scope it, leaving nothing on the knife. But the mustard stored in glass, sticks to the knife, that tells me the plastics are off gassing. Given enough time, plastics will go back to their original form, a gas. If I have no banana's foster, and I buy new, I may sometimes let twenty ml of juice sit for a day with the cap off, but I will let the rest steep. You didn't ruin your juice, I would vape it, and get some more of what you like, put it in brown glass, and let it steep. Feel free to email if ever you have questions, if the thread allows me to post my email. XtianApi "at" "comcast.net"
Good luck.

Thanks again guys. Being new to this I am still learning and could quite possibly be doing something wrong.....in fact it appears that I have. My thanks to the Flux guys for answering these questions. I will check back in after some time steeping. I am also going to buy a good atty to drip these into.

A lot of people have different ways of steeping.
Like you, I was very disappointed in my first couple of Flux juices, but let them sit a few weeks, and now love them.

My method of steeping is to let it sit in my bathroom cabinet, and every few days give it a good shake. I'm sure others will give different imput on this.

Excellent.....all hope is NOT lost.

HH 357, 2.5 ohm, if you have variable voltage, is the best I have found, especially for Flux. I have one that has been going strong every day and night, for four months!! Good luck.

And again ( your not the first and won't be the last )... It is apparently time for another lesson in forum etiquette for a newbie...

Unlike the general areas of ECF, this forum area is specifically for GotVapes and their products. Therefore it is considered rude when someone posts a link to a competitor's website even if it is a product that GV may not carry... The same is going to be true for asking for a link to a competitor's website.

Like the others that have responded to you earlier... I am not affiliated with GotVapes nor are any of us forum moderators... but we do help each other when we can and try to "police" ourselves in order to keep the actual "forum police" ( :D ) from needing to do so.

Okay, i kinda feel like a jerk for this but the Belgian Waffle is horrible. Maybe it was a bad batch i dunno, but this tastes nothing like waffles or anything pleasant for that matter. When i first opened the bottle it reeked like cheap whiskey. I can only assume you use alcohol to cut the juice or something as it seems a bit thinner than the other juices I've purchased from you guys. I've tried it on every setup i have access to. Cartos, carto tanks, vivi nova, kanger t3, a genesis atty, and even just dripping into a good old fashioned 510 atty. All setups were tried at various volt/wattage settings to no avail. It's also not a matter of my taste as everyone I've tried to pawn this 30 ml bottle off on has refused it, and said the same things i have. "It stinks like rot gut whiskey!" etc. If someone is refusing 30 ml of juice for free, there is something wrong with it. Aaaaand before anyone gives me the usual BS "reason" aka excuse when a juice is bad.. Yes i've steeped it. It was bad on day 1 and its still bad now, 2 months later. Yeah that's right i purchased the juice back in December. I purposely waited this long because anyone someone has negative feedback on a juice everyone comes at them with the "steep it" excuse.
I've bought quite a flew flavors from you guys over the past year or so and honestly the only one i really liked is the Pyramid Fusion. A couple other tobaccos were okay, but i haven't ordered them again. I've had a couple flavors from you guys that were just gross/bad and now I'm afraid to order any other flavors from you guys. With other vendors i often order from, I'm not afraid to try new flavors because while i might get a juice i don't care for I won't get a juice that is bad. There is a difference.

For the record. I'm not slamming Gotvapes in any way. The guys there are super nice and have gone out of their way to take care of me more than once. They ship quickly and answer pm's emails quickly. They are good people and good vendors.

not a problem and appreciate the feedback, besides giving you the whole taste is subjective speech there are many other things to consider, besides taste being subjective you need to realize many people will react differently to flavorings, its like why some people like little debbie or hostess, its hard to explain but certain ingredients when put together they will give a taste that certain groups of people simply cant stand , so its a little deeper then just taste buds, it goes back to what is in the product, we use flavorings form about 4 companies, the same flavor form all 4 will not taste the same to many people. we add nothing to the pg and vg that would differ it in taste form any other top vendor, most of us do not add additives and sweeteners of any kind other then what is in the flavorings.

I have discussed recently on how we have changed our formulas for both the base and the flavorings and the nic over the last 2 years, we have done so to try to improve the juice for the customers, this wasn't easy and very time consuming but each time the base and flavorings have improved, if you tried our juices many months ago then i would suggest to get a sampler pack and try out some of the newer flavors and some older ones and see if the latest blend appeals to you or not, i think its possible you tried our older blend. So if the belgium was off for you, then you should try the other flavors like hush and many others in a sampler pack, the waffle ingredients are not the same as the flavorings for our other juices

with the belgium waffle, i will agree with you, that's what it tastes like to me, im not a fan of it, but everyone that was testing it, liked it, its a mixed bag with that one and a few others, either they love it or hate it but people that i know had my type of buds didn't like it and that's ok, it was a complicated flavor for me to make with the company because i didn't like their version nor mine but many others did. I can take feedback form you and you can pm a idea of what you liked or not and i can see if i can play around and do something for the both of us and others who might not prefer it.

Waffle juice is my vaping white wale it seems. Back when Rath juice first came into being i was lucky enough to get a batch of his original waffle juice and it was amazing. Even he couldn't seem to get it right after that though because every waffle flavor I've had since then has been either maple syrup, or just gross including any waffle juice he made later that i had tried. The ones that are tolerable just clog and kill atties. Also the Belgian Waffle i ordered was the "NEWLY IMPROVED REFORMULTAED FLAVOR"

Thank you for your response. Honestly i half expected a post being as negative and critical as mine was to either be deleted or just dismissed, let alone responded to within minutes at 7am.

I don't think we have had a single shot down post in this thread ;) Have you tried the butterscotch? That is, IMO, their best flavor. And I think it is still available as a sampler.

What is the general consensus of the best tobacco and coffee flavors? That's all I care to vape anymore. I prefer my tobacco on the "Boba's side, if that makes any sense..

Despite the fact this is a Flux thread, I prefer the Liqua coffee, it is unsweetened and uncreamed. So I can doctor it as I wish.

Well, I guess im a ..... because Ive been vaping flux pretty much since ive started vaping (approx.6 mos) and ive not steeped anything, and was going to ask the question "could i get extra flavor i.e. blueberry or red alert flavor" when i order my juice ? I guess I should start steeping to get better flav.?after all day vape I tend to lose taste in the eves.
My main vapes as of now are dew red alert 24mg blueberry, grape all 24mg nic. using vision spinner 1100 mah @4.0 ish v. mini vivi nova 2.4 ohm. guess ive been doing it all wrong?
I have some juice i didnt like thats been sitting for awhile in a drawer. gonna clean a couple tanks and test them out to see how they taste now.I pretty much vape 2.5 ml.a day .
Ive just ordered juice and vape it as soon as i get it.

Yeah, steeping, especially sweet flux flavors makes a huge difference. My butterscotch and Bavarian leche are almost clear when I get them. After three weeks they are very dark and much more flavorful. Also, check your wattage. Four volts at two point for ohms is only six and a half watts. I woul be around five volts or more. To each his own, I used to vape at lower wattage, but I get more everything when using more power. Also, I have found that the eVods blow away the vivi nova and the kanger t3 for flavor. The eVod is seriously getting close to my hh 357 for flavor with no wicking issues like with the t3. Good luck.
