Been testing this since the post and its perfect so far! Its wicking perfectly as i can tell its keeping the atty moist. I can hit it every 3 secs and its a perfect hit every since time.

Still on the same cart with no signs of drying out yet.

This has to be the cart mod for me and boy will it be cheap as you dont use much foam at all hehe.

mine fills the cart- so you are saying you only use a small piece to plug the end?

Yes just at the top/end a hair wider then the cart long ways.

NOTE:

Just ran dry.. i pulled the plug off the top and YES, its totally dry! The cool thing is that i knew on that last puff that its was all gone as it made a squicky noise as its was taking that last drag.

Pulled the top off with tweezers, filled it up to the little groove in the inside of the cart and placed the foam plug back on top. Added another drop to the top and inserted back into the atty and puffed away. :)

I didnt get to count the puffs or how many times i was able to go out and smoke but i think its was around 4-5 times and those were long vaping periods.

Again, more details coming in the next few hours after my wife gets home when i get some free time.

Inspired by scootyballs Auto Drip "spring" mod.

Since i dont like the idea of the spring in the cart as it will probably rust over time i thought of something i think is better.
Rust don't bother me pal..

I slap a heavy coat of this on my springs every morning..

Sounds good eclypse, are you using a 510 cart?

I'll give it a go, but I don't think it'll work in my 801...but hey, nothing to lose. :)

Well, i cant wait for someone to try this.. I'll try to give some details right now without the pics as i'm busy but i'm so excited at how incrediable this works! Smiles all over my face.

Just topped the cart off for the 3rd time.. Its soo freakin neat how it totally empties the cart each time and you know when its dry as there totally no vapor! Unlike the usuall, where its dry but you can still suck on it a little longer or harder to get something out of it as usually the filler will still be holding some juice. You'll know when theres no juice as there totally no vapor.

3rd time and i can still use the same foam plug.. so thats cool.

Heres the size of the foam pad i'm using.

Ruffly 10.22 mm long x 6.88 mm wide.. in inches its 0.409 x 0.267. The thinkness is stock for the pad.

If you look into the cart you'll see a lip on each side. That lip is what holds the foam plug in place along with the springiness of the foam. So the lip is how deep the plug going in. Fill the cart up to that lip with juice and then insert the little foam square so it rests on that lip. Then just just 1 to 2 drops on the foam if you like. The last time i did not and it worked just as good right away.

The atty bridge will hit the foam just right and wick like you've never experianced before!

Absolutely 0 flooding or juice in the mouth but yet the wick feels nice and wet!

I'm starting to think that its wicking good enough to try 6 volts :)

hehe.. Nice. Yeah its for the 510.. Never had any other cart so i'm not sure. Though the 510 has a lip on the inside that the plug rests on. Not sure what would happen if theres no lip. But if you know exactly how far in the atty goes into the cart it may work. I would'nt add juice till you see if the plug moves on you when you insert the atty.

Can you explain a little bit more about the foam you're using? I've never heard of that brand.

Thanks...

jm

The brand is Marineland Bonded Sleeve Foam, Rite-Size "U"

You can buy this at Pet stores. I bought it at Pet Smart.

Its filter material for fish tank filters.

Pics and details coming shortly.. uploading the pics now on the computer.

im working on a mod almost just like this for the 801. but there is no lip in the cart so i have to do somthing like debra said with a straw. im useing heat srink with the end melted down to hole the poly better. so far so good but dont want to do a tut on it till i know it works good and the 801 cart takes about 20 drops of juice so it takes a wile to get through a cart :)
