I was going to pick up the Origin clone from them, but I'm not sure how my kayfun would look on it since they're different diameters. Time to think about a "Bremesis" (brass nemesis), Chi, or King or something like that.

Yes, it is a touch wider the KFL, a shame but a brass Nemmy is my next item, Kraken and Steam Turbine fit abs spot on as Nikki says :D

Cool deal babes ... I was just chatting someone up today about the Origin Mod, asking about it's performance, which he said was good. I really think the Kraken would have a nicer home with another 21mm device, so that is why I am considering it. Like you, I remain blown away by the great vape the Kraken gives ... so much vapor its unreal.

I also received some VAPE MAILLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLL TODAY! ... I already mentioned that I bought Focal's Taifun GT off a member here who just received it herself. While the member was nice enough to leave a build in it, I destroyed when I tried to wick it with SS Mesh  ... its all good as I wanted to try out the twisted 32 gauge Kanthal that I had put together.... very nice vape! I built it the way that the creator of the Taifun recommends, and being that this is a 1:1 clone, I thought I should follow suit.

This is my first ss mesh build in a non-genesis style rba, and I think I will give this build a go with the Fogger V3 as well. I plan to write up a nice little review for this baby due to its popularity, and the fact that it's a H Cigar clone. Being that there are at least three different Taifun clones (if not 4 (hcigar, Rainbow Heaven, Cigreen, not sure if Tobecco makes one) on the market, it will be nice to have some published details on this version.

That Taifun looks smart but is that the one that needs NR-R-NR setup wire on it? I'm not too good with really tiny work like that lol

The Origin brass I have had apart and back together, the button switch is really quite intricate and the copper parts in there give a spot on connection to bottom pole of battery, only caution is the magnets in there look really quite tiny and them neodyne rings crack if you cough too near 'em so I have started looking to see if FT do a cheapo stack of 'em like they do for the Nemesis but that said the button is silky smooth, its good to see a well made piece of equipment like this.

My Kraken is out of action today as I built its coil too close to the shield and the inevitable happened (thank you prot batteries) so its experiment time as I have been making microcoils and going to slide two micros onto a double strand U wick and see how that goes, I also got to do the KFL again as I put too many wraps of ribbon and got it at 2.5ohms which is too much for the batteries and got lots of lag with it, I had the devils job with the plastic section which had welded itself into the steel parts, ended up having to burn it off so now its all SS whilst waiting for replacement sections from FT.

Kraken shiny versus KFL and Steam Turbine shinies... (Note repaired Sentinel M16 using nZonic head for Sigelei's)

My initial 24 hours of hard testing the Origin clone has been quite good, its kept going, as using prot batteries there isn't any fadeout, the button is still the same and very easy to "pinky" fire, no discernible voltage drop whatsoever, it seems whatever the battery puts in, the mod puts out pretty much the same, the finish is just brilliant, I was expecting like a brass Zippo which would be already patina'ing up but not this, very clean and the logo's line up nicely with the Kraken logos which was a nice bonus :)

FatDaddyVapes sells Origin magnets, but I think they want $8 for the set or something.

Hehe ... No, you don't need NR R NR for Taifun's, its a bottom coil but not at all like an Ithaka or Oddy ... thank you baby Jesus . It is quite easy to build, and my first build is a stunning success! You have to get one as I positive you will appreciate the vape, I think the draw is just perfect. Not a dry hit in the house, wicks perfectly, absolutely no complaints .. so far the Taifun and the Kraken are my favorite vapes, although I do love my AGI Genesis too. Here is a pic of the build before I placed the 2.5mm wick on top, and pulled the deck back up ...

And OMG thanks for posting those pics, everything looks awesome! Loving the Origin mod, its a sexy mod, and I am now a fan of magnetic switches thanks to the Magneto I just got. You should post some of these pics in the "Show me your China set ups" thread I started a couple of days ago. :D

You know, I had prayed and prayed that someone would start selling inexpensive Mod holders, FT finally does and I have placed it in cart no less than 4 times and always delete in favor of more goodies, lol ... I have a hard time spending money on "needs", I prefer to blow it all on wants!

I can't add anything to my cart. It keeps saying "You can only buy this product once" and then redirects to a page that won't load. Same issue in 3 different browsers. Anyone had this issue?

Really? And this is happening on Focalecig's website?? .. Perhaps because they will not technically be open for business until tomorrow, and I am sure that they are trying to package and process all the orders that came in right before the holiday, so maybe they have shut checkout down until all orders are processed, and remaining inventory is accounted for??

Yup, it was on the Focalecig site. I ended up ordering from FT anyway, but I wanted to try from them to see if it came any faster. They were out of what I wanted, anyway...

First off, awesome customer service. She has already replied and they are replacing the tank for me.

Here's a pic of the problem piece.

View attachment 303288

 ... yeah, that's a problem ... Did it come like that or, did it fall apart after cleaning? Anyway, so glad Doris got back to you right away to take care of it. I wish I could see it up close, it looks like the construction is very different from the QQ. I mean they are obviously different, but I mean the way that the Tank portion is constructed.

The QQ has a threaded top cap, anodized aluminum tank sleeve with a poly inner tank that cannot be separated from the outer sleeve, and a bottom cap with female threading for the cartomizer, and 510 connection ... Well, at least they are sending you a replacement right away. I am glad to hear that the Holiday break didn't slow down customer service response time.

It came like that. I don't think it is supposed to come apart at all. I regret not getting the QQ, I like the looks of it better the more I look at it. I will probably order that one next.

The name is a long standing nickname but doesn't conform to the forum rules so it will be changed soon.

I was surprised to hear from her so soon, I figured she would be buried in email.

I found the dog pic online somewhere. It makes me smile so I use it sometimes. I was thinking of changing to a pic of my MVP Shine to fit the forum better.

Actually I was surprised too ... but I really think that Doris has been working all along, at least I wouldn't be surprised. While we are addicted to vape gear, she is addicted to working. I hope the owner of Focalecig appreciates her.

Yeah my QQ is very solid, even dropped it once, can't tell ... I can't lie, for $21 bucks I half way expected something to be falling off, but not at all. It's probably just a bad apple in the bunch with your KK, you know how that goes. Even the most highly reputed products have a bad apple ... I got a laugh from a member talking about his Provari that broke after two weeks, not that breaking it was funny, but just that it is always talked up for its high quality, and lifetime durability... duds will happen in every manufactured product line.

I think your name and avvy is awesome .. don't change it .. but that is coming from someone who changes their avvy every few months. There is nothing about my username or avvy that screams e cigarette forum, I hate fitting in, I prefer to stick out like a sore thumb.

It does happen with anything. The way they fixed the issue right away means I won't hesitate to order from them again.

I wondered about her working through the holiday. I hope they do realize what a great "face" she is for them. We should petition them to give her a raise!

I will leave the dog up there. He looks to me like he knows he got caught being naughty. The name is not up to me, I don't want to get in any trouble.
