**** Pisces T First Impressions ****
Right out of the package everything looked really good. Its tiny, and lightweight, with nice laser etchings on the body, and switch. It has a nice semi polished finish, but there were a few light scratches on top cap where your device mounts, but nothing major. The threads are clean, no burrs however, the telescopic tubes were a bit squeaky, but not crunching.
Unlike Jonnysmooth, I did not have a stiff, or stuck floating pin. My kayfun 3.1 threaded on with ease however, I encountered a minor problem straight away as my locking ring was seriously stuck.
It is reverse threaded, and it was not budging by hand ... No way I was taking pliers to my new baby, so I said myself "think Nikki"... As Laylel would say "Aha", I put it in the freezer for a few minutes to contract the metal. After 5 mins of freezing, still no dice. I put it back in the freezer, and nuked a cup of water until boiling, then took it out of the freezer and dropped it into the boiling water for about 2 mins. I dried it off, and poof walla ... my locking ring was freed

Once I freed the locking ring, I could see that there was some sort of sticky residue, which was clearly the cause of it sticking. Whatever the sticky stuff was, it came off pretty easy with a damp sponge. The reverse threaded locking ring moves easily now.
So far, so good, and I really like the way it looks with the 3.1 ... will use it for a week or so, before I do a full review of it.
