thx, i remember your suggestion of using
denture cleaning tablets, and Laylel has confirmed this is the best fastest way to remove the oil machine taste. so i'm going to shop some of them for the next atty to clean (i guess i'll receive the instant kill taifun this week).

yes, thanks, i remember your post, and used that method to keep the pin out of the 510 thread in the group buy kfl ('tobeco'), because it was sinking into the thread. and your suggestion is the solution for the pins length of kfls:
i've compared the pins from tobeco kfl, 12113 kfl, and kfl v2, and all them have identical length (the v2 one has a bit shorter thread though). so i thought that the bases would have different length. nope, if there is any tall difference, i can notice it.
so i was in an error. still an experimenting rookie here

adding an o-ring (i tried 4mm outer diameter, 1mm thick), keeps the pin outside the thread, and curiously, the block in the deck stays tight!

i've run out of these rings, need to find more in flea bay

..rather than fatdaddys (they ship to spain, Nikki, but the cost is expensive -more than $1

.
this way you can make any kfl usable in 4nines, Nikki; now my v2 pin goes out 1mm, like Nelson's one (thx, bro, for correcting my error, i scared Nikkita with it, sorry).
about
12113. tried to put base o-ring between the chamber and chimney. it didn't flush completely (maybe someone stronger could screw it 100%), so i left a gap, trusting in the seal capability of the ring. i also changed the build, and tried less cotton.
the result wasn't satisfactory. it went from semi-dry hits to flooding and leaking.
so removed the ring again. now it's working ok. a bit dry, but i think it's due to my last build and to my dense vg juice.
my conclusion is: pull out that base o-ring (you can try it between the two parts of the chimney, but it's not necessary at all), add an small o-ring to the bottom of the 510 pin, find a suitable build for your juice. and you'll have a pretty decent kfl: great vapor production and flavor.
however, i would not recommend this new version of 12113. it's more difficult to find the balance between wicking and flooding than in other kayfuns.

the
golden kayfun 3.1 keeps working like a charm. no dry hits, zero leaking. nice one to pair with any golden mod (female 4nine?

)
tried the
taifun gt at last! A-M-A-Z-I-N-G

although i got some mesh and silica/ekowool ready, first tried a "maicrocoil" (kanthal 0.3mm ~28.5awg, 8 wraps on a 3mm drill bit, 1.7ohms) to use a reasonable amount of cotton (more than in squape or in kf). i left enough cotton into the chamber (by not stretching it, just the opposite), trying to fill it and so to avoid flooding, and 2-3mm each (out)side. and got a total success in my first try.
the draw is tight, so you get a very taste flavor, but the vapor is so huge, so i won't consider drilling nor removing the air tube (i'm using the wider one).
every atty i try, it becomes my fav, lol. i love all them, taifun, squape and kayfuns. i'm so happy, i can forget analogics forever
