Thanks, but don't think those will work either.

I found the wood atomizers listed at alibaba, dhgate, etc., but only for buying quanity, not at a store I could buy just one, and no replacement coils anywhere. Looks to be new on the market, and there are a lot more designs than the 1 FC has listed. I have several weeks before I get it, by then hopefully others will be getting them, I would like to get several designs, some I have seen look really cool.

:vapor:

I think it really is a nice looking atty, even as I usually wouldn't go for wood, I find this one attractive, so I am sure the variety of them are nice looking too. The air flow control ring on it looks good as well, so I hope this one is a winner.

And the Pipe ... High five Tatiana! I can't believe you have a pipe mod, but I think that is so badass :2cool: Now did you make this yourself?? If you did, then yes, you are a true Goddess. :)

 I don't think its ugly! I think it is so impressive that you made this yourself, you should feel so proud. :) And telling me that the copper Kayfun is very very tasty of course makes me want it more ... Is it copper on the inside deck and chimney too?

Nelson .. that was not a little tease, that was a big tingly, evil tease! ... I felt something, true story. Damn .... yum yum yum, the GP Heron is yummmy  Now, did you call this the Kayfun killer? And if so then you need to elaborate on this por favor. :)

And yes, these are the pics that I wanted to see so thank you so much for taking them, I appreciate it. ;-) The V2 looks so good with the 4nine, and I love that you put the low profile nano to cap on the full body ... nice :thumb: The 510 pin looks long enough to work well with my 500 batteries, cool. :)

Hi Nik, I hope this is what you wanted to see...

and a little teaser

That depends on how you like your main body embellishments, and whether you prefer silver plated contacts, or straight brass contacts. The $41 is closer to 1:1 because the more pronounced 3D machining, while the other is pronounced enough for you to see and feel, the $41 is just a bit more like the original. I think the $25 one is still a steal at that price though .. decisions, decisions.

I am going with the 41 version .I wanted to have something with more pronounced and better 3d engraving. What about the voltage drop?Does it hit hard?Thanx!

With bare brass contacts it should hit well .. I would search youtube for reviews with voltage drop tests, just make sure that the review is for a 1:1 with the same brass contacts. There are a few V3 flip clones out there.

Which focalecig RBA would you guys recommend for a newbie to mech mods?

I would recommend a Kayfun variant .. the new KFL plus V2, or any of the Kayfun 3.1 versions on the site (stainless, gold, or black 3.1) .. or the Taifun GT, there are two, and both have reviewed well. Depending on what type of mech mod you are getting, I would also recommend the glass version Squape, possibly over any Kayfun for a first time RBA user. If the mech has top cut air channels, or an air flow control ring like on the Nemesis, or Chi You, then the Sqaupe will be great.

I think the Squape is easier to build, and refill without loosing the vacuum then a Kayfun is. On both the Squape and Taifun, you can work on your build without dumping the juice in your tank. Also, the glass tank on the Squape allows you to use any eliquid .. But any of these three would be great for a first timer. So now its just a matter of which of these devices appeal to you?

thx, i remember your suggestion of using denture cleaning tablets, and Laylel has confirmed this is the best fastest way to remove the oil machine taste. so i'm going to shop some of them for the next atty to clean (i guess i'll receive the instant kill taifun this week).

I'm at work now and don't know how to link to the post from my phone, but look at my post #5973 for an idea. Don't know if it will work for your version, but it couldn't hurt to check.

yes, thanks, i remember your post, and used that method to keep the pin out of the 510 thread in the group buy kfl ('tobeco'), because it was sinking into the thread. and your suggestion is the solution for the pins length of kfls:

i've compared the pins from tobeco kfl, 12113 kfl, and kfl v2, and all them have identical length (the v2 one has a bit shorter thread though). so i thought that the bases would have different length. nope, if there is any tall difference, i can't notice it.
so i was in an error. still an experimenting rookie here
adding an o-ring (i tried 4mm outer diameter, 1mm thick), keeps the pin outside the thread, and curiously, the block in the deck stays tight! i've run out of these rings, need to find more in flea bay :p
..rather than fatdaddys (they ship to spain, Nikki, but the cost is expensive -more than $1:cool:.
this way you can make any kfl usable in 4nines, Nikki; now my v2 pin goes out 1mm, like Nelson's one (thx, bro, for correcting my error, i scared Nikkita with it, sorry).

about 12113. tried to put base o-ring between the chamber and chimney. it didn't flush completely (maybe someone stronger could screw it 100%), so i left a gap, trusting in the seal capability of the ring. i also changed the build, and tried less cotton.
the result wasn't satisfactory. it went from semi-dry hits to flooding and leaking.
so removed the ring again. now it's working ok. a bit dry, but i think it's due to my last build and to my dense vg juice.
my conclusion is: pull out that base o-ring (you can try it between the two parts of the chimney, but it's not necessary at all), add an small o-ring to the bottom of the 510 pin, find a suitable build for your juice. and you'll have a pretty decent kfl: great vapor production and flavor.
however, i would not recommend this new version of 12113. it's more difficult to find the balance between wicking and flooding than in other kayfuns.

Nikkita
the golden kayfun 3.1 keeps working like a charm. no dry hits, zero leaking. nice one to pair with any golden mod (female 4nine? ;) )
tried the taifun gt at last! A-M-A-Z-I-N-G :)
although i got some mesh and silica/ekowool ready, first tried a "maicrocoil" (kanthal 0.3mm ~28.5awg, 8 wraps on a 3mm drill bit, 1.7ohms) to use a reasonable amount of cotton (more than in squape or in kf). i left enough cotton into the chamber (by not stretching it, just the opposite), trying to fill it and so to avoid flooding, and 2-3mm each (out)side. and got a total success in my first try.
the draw is tight, so you get a very taste flavor, but the vapor is so huge, so i won't consider drilling nor removing the air tube (i'm using the wider one).
every atty i try, it becomes my fav, lol. i love all them, taifun, squape and kayfuns. i'm so happy, i can forget analogics forever :D

Your welcome, I'm glad you got that nasty taste out and are having a good vape from the Kayfun :)

Nice work on the pipe mod, I love that you built it yourself...makes it personal.

Haku thank you for this very detailed feedback, I find it very helpful ... most especially the modded 510 pin on the KFL... For the Taifun GT, high five and congratulations on nailing down another great vape. I have two Taifun's, one has the largest air tube installed, and the other has it completely out ... don't worry about messing up the function of the device by removing the air tube if you wish .. it only creates more air flow, in doing so. :)

And I relate to your glee at finding another favorite in the Taifun ... I genuinely consider myself lucky to be very pleased with 98% of my vape gear. Research, and patience pays off. :)
