So a few days ago I had a post about issues with battery clearance, auto-firing, and 4nine tolerances. I said I use a V2 Efest 18650 2000mAh battery, and when everything was screwed in there was no throw and the device would auto-fire.
It was suggested that my Efest V2 18650 was 66.3mm long, and that I should go for a Sony VTC4/5, as they are 65mm long.
I tried out a Sony VTC5 18650 flat top in a shop today, as the device should be assembled, and while it did not auto fire, it had maybe 0.2mm of throw, so that setting the device down would cause it to fire. Seeing as this was a flat top, and supposed to be a 65mm battery, what are my options with 650 mode, which I'm guessing would be batteries? The 510 connection on this Igo-M seems like a normal size, it isn't anything extremely long like the KFL+ before I modified the 510 connection.
I suppose I could make a small spacer for the top-cap to atty area to give me about 0.5-1mm for a great throw, without sacrificing any voltage drop or junk in between the current, I was just hoping I could have it function as is. I doubt my atty is a full 1-1.5mm longer than "others" which the device was designed around.
As a follow up question in that regard, do your atty's stick out from the delrin, are flush, or are recessed? Mine sticks out of the insulator by perhaps 0.25mm.
