Glad I'm not the only one

At least I didn't get a burnt .... as well though ;)

I think once you've done it, you take more notice, I know I double check now.
When I first noticed what was happening I was upset, but that only lasted a few seconds. Your post came to mind and I immediately started laughing. Can't say I hadn't been warned. Then I concentrated on discreetly walking away to deal with it outside so the people around me (of course it happened at the vape shop) wouldn't be using me as the funny story for the week.

 You brought new meaning to "sweet cheeks" and "hot buns"
I didn't know my .... enjoyed vaping, or was useful as a fire alarm either. :D

Casting a part requires a mold of the part to be made, then the liquid SS is poured into the mold to produce the part. Most cast parts will have some sort of seam in it where the two halves of the mold meet because you have to remove the part from the mold. Cast parts are usually not very precision parts and require machining to get dimensional accuracy.

The process of casting arranges the molecules in a unorganized pattern and the resulting cast part is difficult to cut because it doesn't sheer smoothly when cutting it with machining tools. It's also difficult to weld cast metals.

The SS we get to machine is usually rolled steel, so the molecules are arrange in a more organized manner resulting in a more even sheering action while cutting it. With machining you can use tools to shape parts with extreme accuracy, something a cast part doesn't have.

Thank you for this explanation .. the word "cast" implies what you explained, yet my mind could not wrap itself around the image of liquid SS

Thanks for posting those pics. Thoughts of looking for a fried ZNA and putting a DNA40 chip in it has crossed my mind. Those thoughts have now been banished. :)

This is precisely what I was thinking of as well .. getting a fried one and replacing the chip, but errr, that is highly unlikely now

Well you do have my address so if a box mysteriously showed up at my doorstep that had a fried ZNA and a new DNA40 board I would know who to return it to after I fixed it up for you :D

Hot sticky rear, did I get that right? Just for posterity's sake of course.

Nikki, all your allusions are making me kinda hungry. That just seems sooooo wrong.

I do have your address, and being that you just planted that seed in my head I am holding you 100% responsible if such a package should mysteriously show up at your door

SCANDAL ALERT!! ... THE AMOD/WOTOFO MYSTERY CHIP COVER UP CONTINUES ...

So ... I was just over the in the APV section reading through the ZNA thread, and I happened across the post of someone who opened up their Amod ZNA and took pictures of the chip.

Well, and what do I see etched on a little steel casing on the chip? ... 4R7  http://www.e-cigarette-forum.com/forum/variable-voltage-apv-discussion/554717-zen-zna-clones-coming-52.html Why is this significant?

As some of you may recall, when I first contact the manufacturer Hao sheng regarding the Vapor Flask V1 clone they are making, I asked about the chip and was told that it was a US made 4R7 chip. After calling the rep on her BS about it being US made, she would later admit that the 4R7 chip is in fact Chinese made.

You may remember that I would later comment on stumbling across this 4R7 chip again on the Electhinker ZNA clone that VC ran a deal about two weeks ago. Then late last week Wallbuys lists a no name ZNA50 that is 18650 only and also has this 4R7 chip in it.... this darn chip is famous

Therefore, I think it is fair to say that in spite of Amod's statements regarding how they came to acquire a Yihi chip for their clone, which Yihi denies both manufacturing and supplying (according to Yihi they do not make a chip called sxa300) that this latest revelation confirms that there is no Yihi chip in the Wotofo ZNA.

What this also further helps us to determine is the quality of the 4R7 chip, which appears to be used in a lot of China made regulated devices. The only issue that I have had with this chip is that it does not perform that well with sub ohm on a 18500 battery. But other than that it is clearly not a bad chip, its just not a Yihi chip ... and now I understand why Amod stuck a branding sticker on the picture of the chip they gave me, which was also featured in my review ... they needed to cover up that 4R7 engraving

I will never buy anything from Amod again I don't care how nice it is. I really like my Wotofo but I don't like to deal with shady businesses. Why lie about it, did they really think no one was going to open it up and check the chip. The ecig market is already way over saturated. A move like this can kill your business overnight.

molten/liquified steel? just think of lava. heat any solid up to a high enough temperature and it melts/turns to liquid

as far as sandblasting, you literally blast a piece with sand under high power. you can find videos on youtube where people sandblast materials. doesn't necessarily have to be with sand either. there are quite a few mediums you can use

Here I was leaning toward the Wotofo for a Yihi chip and the adjustable 510 *sigh*.

Well, thanks much, Drifter for the photo. I bookmarked it for futuure reference. A ZNA is what I want most even if I have to wait a month to get one.

FC is sending me the kit for the SqR :). That earns them my business. It was my first order so I haven't spent a lot of money there. But, they were polite, and are making it right. Better than some other vendors here, that's for sure.

Also, thanks, Nikki, for your reviews. I've read quite a few of them now. Nice to have thorough reviews written by someone who knows what she's talking about, lol!

So I just made my first Purchase with focalecig, an acerig manhattan and lancia rda from the US warehouse. However, I didn't get an order number nor can I view my order under my account. Is this normal?

My order took a day before it showed up on my account. I don't think it helped that my paypal address and email address were different.
