It should work quite well, I usually "check" mine that way before filling.

I just got mine today. I built it with 3mm silica doubled over with no o-ring. It's working pretty well but it does start getting dry after a bit. My biggest issue is I think the air holes are too small or there aren't enough. It's not airy enough for me and I don't get a ton of vapor from it. I do get a lot of flavor and throat hit though.

Well I no longer have to worry about my Fogger V2. I opened the back door and chucked it a couple hundred feet into the desert to rot for all eternity!

Well after rebuilding it about 10 times. No problems getting the microcoil in there. Just either it was burnt hit after hit, or flood city. Not worth my trouble. I can build anything I want on my Nimbus in about 10 minutes. I guess I am just sticking with RDAs!

Any word on a v3? Theres still some improvements I'd like. They should definitely make the base easier to work with. And the juice flow control should be like the Ithaka.

This isn't an ithaka, you would just flood it completely, it's not a matter of exposing wick here at all.

The 1st build I did was with 3 mm silica wick doubled over not bad but was giving me a little bit of a dry hit if I kept on it. This 2nd build I did was using 2mm silica wick doubled over and now it's much better. The vape is more moist and I'm not getting any leaking at all. The flavor and throat hit are very good as well. I'm really starting to like this Fogger V2.

okay I think I got this figured out. i took off the o ring and made sure the wick was straight and trimmed close to the bell. still got flooding. I realized when I rebuild my evod coils i use 2 1mm wicks on top of the 2mm that the coil is wrapped around. put 2 1mm runs on top of my coil and filled it. when i put on the top cap I saw that it caught the threads of the chimney (as per usual in my experience) and unscrewed the bell ever so slightly. that must have been the problem. i tightened it on gently with a pair of pliers and it doesnt seem to be flooding. I guess since it is essentially a giant evod that i can fill from the top I should build it like an evod coil.

So far no flooding and it tastes great! just like an EVOD. I'm all set as soon as i dial in my wattage. this will look great on my SVD! better than how it looks and sits on the provari.

I'm confused ... when you put the top cap on, wouldn't it actually tighten the chimney since they both tighten in the same direction?

I'm also thinking the threads aren't high enough quality to run without the o-ring, and that's why they ship it installed. I did a build tonight without the o-ring, and it was good at first, but then started leaking as the juice level got low... I think it just wants that o-ring...

Depends on how you look at it. I actually think that the threads on the bell are high quality which is why it wouldn't lock down when hand tightened. The threads on the chimney at the top cap aren't as well so when i went to tighten it it would catch and start to spin the bell in the opposite direction it should go when i went to reseat the cap.

I tend to not over hand tighten anything because sometimes a person can accidentally destroy the threads or cause problems when overtightening. either way the problem seems solved now. lets see how waiting overnight works.

So are you guys saying that the stem unscrews from the chamber? I took a stab at unscrewing it before but thought maybe it was pressed in.
