Just got mine today as my first bottom feeding coil and did a pretty good build on it the second time. First time was normal coils, 28g 3/4 2.5mm silica. It was alright but I decided I might as well do micros. 28g 8 wrap with cotton. I didn't cut the cotton flush. I did cut it enough so that it'll pretty much cover the chamber so juice won't leak in. Perfect for now so I'm hoping I won't run into problems.

I may be chiming in too soon, but the lack of SUPER fast wicking I mentioned earlier may be resolved. I didn't trade the cotton out after vaping through the first tank. However I removed the glass and trimmed the exposed cotton FLUSH to the metal housing with some finger nail clippers (strictly used for clipping vape stuff and not human stuff). Therefore, there is no cotton being "mashed" against the glass when the tank is reassembled. Upon viewing the the setup, its hard to even tell there is a wick in the "hole". The look of this rebuildable is nice. I'm looking forward to others sharing their setups. I have some SS mesh and want to give it a go so I'll be eyeing this thread for a while.

I got my v2 yesterday and after going through 7 different builds (cotton, 2mm and 3mm silica) I couldn't figure out why I kept getting a slight burnt taste after one or two draws. I got on here this morning and after reading this, I trimmed the wick flush against housing and it's made all the difference in the world. Thanks.

My current build is 2mm silica doubled w/32ga kanthal @ 1.5 ohms and another 2mm flavor wick. I did not put the O-ring back over the wick and I'm not having any issues with flooding or leaking. After this tank I think I'll go back and try the cotton again.

seems like the base (air control, ring and 510 connector) of my fogger v2 is fused onto the atty platform, tried to get it off and it wont budge. just wanted to see what was going on in there, but i cant move it. any ideas?

i just rebuilt mine and tried to get it appart. no luck... i have no reall need too but, i wanted to anyhow ;)

I've been doing a few rebuilds to try to find a sweet spot and one of the tries that part was on very tight for me too. I just gripped both ends with a paper tower to get a better grip and it finally moved, since then I was careful not to over-tighten that part.

So far my favorite build is a 28g 13 wrap 1.5Ω micro coil with a fairly light amount of cotton as a wick, which I have come out the juice holes and then frayed to fan up the sides of the cone above the coils (using a little juice to keep it place while I put the tank on). Not a dry hit so far, load of vapor and flavor and enough TH that I may have to back down the nic level a bit.

yeah, no need really...but just wanted to. ive tried paper towels, rubber gloves, a screwdriver in the wick slot and a rubber glove...wont budge.

screwdriver in the wick slot and a pair of channel-locks got it for me.....of course then the air adjustment ring became locked down tighter than ever, so I needed the channel-locks again plus needle-nose vise grips to get that sucker undone.....

But the result is an almost entirely worry free (re:electrical shorts) rebuild that doesn't require using that extra tiny o-ring under the 510 screw and fiddling with it everytime I put the Fogger on a mech.

did the channel locks and pliers leave some nice gauges?

If anyone can get a successful SS wick going in this please post pic!

My Fogger V2 and my SS rope should HOPEFULLY be here tomorrow...I don't want to wait until Monday. Once it gets here I will be trying the SS Rope for wick. I already have some ideas to make it work, and hopefully one of them will pan out. If you were talking about SS Mesh, I don't plan on using that at all....but we will see. If I can't get the rope to work right, I may end up trying it.

My personal plan (that I hope to put into action tomorrow, if the Postal Gawds are good to me) is to try doubled over 1.5mm ekowool first, and unless that blows my mind, I'll try a bit of SS cable encased in hollow ekowool. I don't know what that would achieve....but it's an idea. I think someone else might've tried that already though....maybe?

I got my Fogger yesterday and the Ekowool to build it with today...

My thoughts so far are mainly that it's very fiddly. I'm using a 0.8o single coil on 2mm Ekowool, and I use the center cap as juice control. I'm sure I'll figure out the perfect wick solution.

Regardless, I'm thrilled with the vape (occasional flooding or dry hits notwithstanding) - the vapor production doesn't stand up to my dual-hole Igo, but the flavor is tremendous. That tiny air chamber means that the flavor is very concentrated.

I've been waiting for you to try the rope lol... If u have success I will order some
How are u planning on coiling it?

That my friend is a secret. I want to be the first to try my method. It may be pure madness, but it is my madness. :D If it works I will post pics, and instructions.

Does this flood for everyone else when they refill it? Every time I refill I have to spend a while clearing out the vaping chamber.

You have to close off the air control and make sure that when you fill it you do not completely block the fill hole with your bottle tip. If you do block the hole with the bottle tip, the air cannot escape and pressure build up forcing extra juice through the wicks and causes the flooding. Using a bottle with a needle nose tip make filling easier.
