@Tbev-Agree on the "M" shaped wick build vs the "U" shape. Slightly M shape gives a bit more cotton for the coil to draw from without have to move fluid while vaping like the U shape does, works much better. At .6 ohms I get no dry hits once I added a touch more cotton and only half filled the vertical portion of the channel. That is doing usually 5-7 back to back pulls about 4-5 seconds long with a minute or two rest between cycles.

Someone requested some pics vs a KFL:

I just got my Fogger V4.2 from FT. The tank base ring unscrews (is removable), comes with copper 510 pin/screw, and has a loose afc ring that does not have a hole in it (and covers the hole partially when opened all the way up).

In Todd's review - he has the V4.1 and his tank base ring unscrews. His has holes in the afc ring and has a steel 510 center pin.

Agree on the great flavor. From 0.8-1.0 I get fantastic flavor with good size clouds. The .5, .6 builds I run do bigger clouds faster, with slightly muted flavor but still fantastic. The only time I notice it being muted at all is if I use my dripper then follow it up with a Fv4 pull. Nothing compares to a .2 ohm dripper though so really, it isn't shocking there is less from the Fv4 in that instance :)

Also, not sure why, but my Fv4 at .5 puts out clouds equal to my IGO W5 which is a dual coil at .2 ohms and drilled out to 7/64ths on both holes.... crazyness.

While I'm not trying to ring my own bell I consider myself an experienced builder. That said I can now tell you that I haven't put this much this much effort into an atty since Fogger V1.
I have two of these, the first one I setup as a lung hitter with the only modification being to enlarge the holes on the air ring (and and a 10 x 1 mm o-ring)This one work quite well.
On the second one I reduced the air hole on the deck to 1.2 mm with the idea of vaping Kayfun but dual coils, that just didn't happen no matter how or what I did.
# 2 is going back to 2 mm air holes on the deck next time I fell like fooling with it some more.
Also I intend to bevel that positive post block on it's top edges so to make it easier to get the coil just about sitting on the air holes ( 1 mm ). Darn I wish it wasn't brass.
I went ahead and removed the 1.2 mm draw tube and just left off the air ring.
All is well with both ... now

I ordered a V4 on FleaBay. After shipping the seller emails me and says they messed up and it's a V2 so he is taking it back. So now I need a V4 and see this: Fogger v4+ / Fogger v4+ Atomizer / Fogger v4+ RBA Dual Coil Tank It's supposed to be a new model with a fixed air control ring and stuff. I see it being sold "on reserve" other places using Google, so I think it is something new. I'm not sure if Frog in Fog seller is in USA or China. Does anyone have a link where I can buy the newest Fogger?

dwcraig1 - what draw tube?
I added two 1.2 mm tubes to the holes in the top of the deck 'cause otherwise these are lung hitters ans I was trying to make one of mine more "normal"
I cut a 1.2 mm draw tube in half and inserted them into the top of the deck. I did something similar (1.5 mm) with my Oddy2 Kayfun conversion kits. See below.

So......

I found my last disposable lighter and it still had some fluid left in it.

Used a couple of large angled pliers and my tusty leatherman tool.

With the angled pliers holding down on the 510, I heated up the skirt above the AFCring, for 7-8 minutes.
Then still holding the 510, I used the leatherman to pull the skirt counter clockwise untill it finaly snapped and unscrewed.

There was no silicon lockthigt or anything like that. On closer inspection of the threads I found small/tiny metal fragments, witch are most likely leftover from machining of the threads.

I tried to take a photo of it, but my GalaxyS2 doesnt fokus on the threads.

By snapped, did it break or just come loose with a snap?

Also, someone asked about my builds. I use .3mm Kanthal (I think that is 28 gauge), and just increase/decrease the number of wraps. I use the little blue screw drivers that come with lots of clone atties to wrap on :) Perfect size for me.

6 wraps per coil this method gives me 0.69 ohms.

    @Sinnagatggen - Lucky you :p

    For everyone else, I have found a couple of tricks with the Fv4, doing my first vape vid later today will link it here. It will be a tutorial on a couple of points about the Fv4. One I won't make you wait for: Don't try down in the .2 or .3 range, the space between your coil and the insulator sandwiched between them is not healthy lol ;)

    @SavePaperVapor

    You got the V4+ version.
    The regular one does not have the threaded airflow ring, and the 510 screw is stainless steel not copper.
    Awesome. Works like a champ. I cant wait until my Ranger mod comes in so I can throw some higher wattage at it. I couldn't quite get a coil setup above 1 ohm. I only gave it 3 tries and couldn't resist vaping it so now it sits on a mech. lol
