One more thing:
Remember when you fill up your Taifun GT and it looks full? Then you flip it up side down and the liquid disappears into the top cap on you? Guess what am I drilling now to install two Fill Screws like I did on my Fogger?
kayfun is next.

Ok, going to to back in the thread and find the details on how yours is set up. I've rewicked this puppy a half dozen times this morning...

Use this pictorial (not mine, somebody else posted it earlier) http://imgur.com/a/WYScK and I promise - you are going to love it. For simplicity and performance of this build. Skip the coil making part - you've got that mastered already.

Good luck.

I've tried that wicking method twice. First time I had leaking, second time it didn't seem to be wicking and I got dry hits. I wonder if it's because I chain vape?

Seems interesting...

Dang....I had high hopes for this wicking method!! I tend to chain vape too, so maybe this wouldn't work for me either.....I'm wiling to try anything at this point though....

I chain vape too - no dry hits for me...
I just rebuilt mine with 0.42 Ohms - it is running at 32 Watts on a Mech with no dry hits.

I've just read a big chunk of this thread and you have convinced me
I ordered the previous version with the smaller chamber to get more ml (I think I bought that one)
here Fogger V4 Brand New Version by Yi Loong in Stock Ready to SHIP from USA | eBay
i saw this link on this thread

It is hard to tell... But I think you are right, the chamber looks smaller. You might be on to something. Keep us posted.
I, however am on the market for the Big Fogger at this point.

I see a lot of complaints on here about the v4.3, but honestly.. I've owned it for 2 weeks and have had zero dry hits, zero leaking, and loads of flavor/vapor. Don't have one of the earlier Fogger4 versions to compare to, but no problems to report here.

10 wrap, 28g, 5/64 ID duals = 0.80ohms with doubled over P&C cotton yarn [2x4strand] wick. The trick is to only put 1 or 2 threads of the yarn about halfway down the vertical wicking channels; the rest I stuff around on the deck like a dripper/taifun gs which serves to act as a resevoir of sorts. Holds darn near 4ml too.

Haven't touched my Russian since I got this up and running. Even my Rose2 has been neglected in favor of this $30 atty.

EDIT: Oh, just a thought, when filling I've always held it at a 45degree angle with the fill port closer to the floor. That way the juice spills onto the glass tank wall and not into the wick holes. Apparently, that's one of the problems people are running into problems with the newer version?

The 28mm one for the new 26650? I'd be curious if it scales up well or if the chamber ends up so large you can't get flavor.

Correct. If you look at the 4.3 pictures, you can see that there's now a ledge between the fill hole and the tank. The e-liquid must flow through a convoluted path. Trying to use a syringe doesn't work, you need the pressure you create by using a nipple top bottle pressed to the fill hole to force e-liquid in. The earlier versions didn't have that issue.

I'm kicking myself for getting rid of my original 4.0 in stainless because money was (still is) tight and a friend gave me $30 for it, almost paying for the black version I really wanted. Quite surprised when I got it and saw the 4.3 changes. Although I think if the only version I ever had was 4.3 I'd still like it. I really don't notice the differences as I use it other than the very obvious loss of capacity. Filling is different, you have to use just enough pressure to flow the e-liquid into the tank or you'll force wicks from the channels, but it's not really a big deal.

Ok, going to try the cotton yarn next - I have some. Determined to get this thing going!

Once you get it going you will love it...I promise. Here is another thing you can try. really tighten the chimney to the top cap...so it binds to it. Now put the unit together and fill her up. Now hold the base in place and turn the top cap about a quarter turn to loosen it....the chimney will also move with the top cap....it is basically a form of juice control. You can turn about a half a turn before you get leaking. Everyone who's had an issue with dry hits was able to solve their issue with this suggestion....good luck.

I know this topic is about Fogger V4. Since I made Top Fill Holes for my Fogger, I decided to modify my Taifun GT. Kayfun is next.

Introducing a 7.5 ml Taifun GT with Top Fill Holes. As you can see on the up side down image - it is full, it took 7.5 ML. The SS Mash / 0.6mm Ribbon build at 1.3 Ohms is for Provari

The Big Fogger uses the same chimney as the V4.3 that I love so much, but the tank holds 10 ML of liquid and it will sit flush on my 26650 Black Stingray. That's why I ordered it from China already. It's going to be weeks before I'll see it...

P.S: After I'll install Top Fill Screws in it is will most likely hold 12 or more Milliliters of juice.

Just got a brushed copper Hades and am also looking forward to the Big Fogger. I'll probably wait until some of you folks have had time to work with it though. ;)

Right now I've just got a Squape clone sitting on the mod. It works, and sits flush, but doesn't look quite right.

14147877668_d3814f8235_b.jpg

Stay tuned. I've already placed an order for two Big Foggers, but it will be a while before I'll get them from China. Until then, my 26650 Stingray looks as lonely as your Hades :)

I didn't have a good experience with Squape. The draw was too tight and it had an internal electrical problem. I returned it. Granted it was a Squape Clone. Which one do you have? How do you like it? Is it worth trying again?

Thanks,

Mike.

Here is a TGT with a clear tank filled the
10443602_804045609619665_3223465306069989847_n.jpg
traditional way, it's fuller than one would think.
Some say that some air should be left inside when filling, but I'm not one of them.

OK. I get it. You don't like my modification.
The official Taifun GT description sais 5.0 ML
I put 7.5 ML and it worked all day today and keeps on working.
I also fill up the Fogger V4.3, that people say, holds only 3 ML, with 4 + ML. Does this count?

P.S: When you fill up Taifun GT the traditional way (without a full clear tank of course) and you think it is full. Then you flip it upside down. The E-Liquid is playing "Hide and go seek with you" It disappears entirely into the metal portion of the tank, leaving the clear portion absolutely empty. That's where your extra 2.5 ML could go.
