I was wondering if it was a national thing in California they set up tents n the blue vans ten to twenty Highway patrol cars and stop all the trucks for inspection, totally wack!

If the V4.4 truly goes back to the smaller deck and greater capacity, I forsee a trade business as folks scramble for the design they prefer.

Personally I'm happy with my V4.3, but miss the capacity of the V4.2 that I sold. I don't do anything fancy for my builds, 2 x 1.7 ohm horizontal coils for a 0.8 or 0.9 ohm final result.

Thanks for the heads up. I was not aware of this thing. But generally. they don't like to inspect carhaulers because we have very low ground clearance. And they eat a lot of donuts.

They do a 72hr circlejerk called operation roadcheck where the hwpatrol and dot stop every truck on the freeway, full inspection, glad you don't have to deal with that crap, in CA they need to Jack all the truck drivers BC the state ...... all their $ away on illegals and hunting pot smokers.

I've been looking at one from epuffnstuff (co.uk), hoping that's one of the good versions

My dad's a owner operator, he stats local in cali with a flatbed mostly, I've heard the stinger isn't worth the hassle, I had to get my car shipped and I had to 2 different guys with stingers couldn't /wouldn't come in my neighborhood to get it third guy with the your setup rolled right in no problem.

You right, they wouldn't, not couldn't. Because a good stinger makes sharper turns then your dad and I ever could. Due to the fact that the stinger folds almost in the middle that makes the trailer only 35 feet. Your dad and I have 53' trailers and it makes it harder to make a corner. I'm also an O/O all 48 states.
