I had issues. My 1st 24 gauge build was jumping ohms? Thought I had defective unit like Fogger & Plume with screw posts drilled out to big...thinking that's just my Chinese luck? Built again with 27 gauge on 2mm coil and same thing. Tightened the 510 screw and got a steady .7!! Screwed on Nano kit, anxiously filled, leaked, and finally vaped.

Gotta play with wicking & building some. This slap together build is not cutting it. Air flow is superior to the Fogger, but we knew that going in. I run the Fogger with no AFC ring.

Can't judge this build or wick combo... Been vaping .7 vertical build on Fogger v4.4 with ton o'clock rayon & switching back n fourth to the Orchid at different wastages (up to 30) and so far I gotta say I much prefer the Fogger than this first Orchid build. The vertical Fogger build is just a dense flavorful vape.

Tomorrow, I'll play with more builds n wicking as I'll have the Logo Orchid arriving.

I did notice, I couldn't use the 2.5mm rod to stick in the Orchid air hole like I could with the the Fogger. The 2mm fit fine.

This is not a final verdict by any means. I gotta build n wick something that lives up to the expectations I've made this thing out to be. Having two Orchids tomorrow should allow me to figure out if a vertical with lotso wick will work. I'm excited about that possibility!

So, as far Orchid goes for today, it was a first date and tomorrow is a double date with more possibilities.

Oh, the tool sucks, works, but sucks!!!

Edit: That .7 Quick Orchid build is better around 23 watts. Better flavor and bit more saturated on that build with the 23 watts. The vertical .7 Fogger build is whole different animal surrounded by saturated wick so it needs more wattage. I vape that Fogger build around 26-28.5. Screws suck just like the Fogger, although a descent tool or replacement screws may solve this issue.

The brains to extend that chimney to accommodate a full size kayfun tank are here. The chimney needs a coupler of some sorts and a SS extension of an unknown length. There has to be something obtainable for the tube and some thing to crimp together...?

I've been told that my Seven-30 is bound to burn out if I continue to run it with 0.5 Ohm load...

Introducing a high Ohm build on Big Buddha. This is 1.2 Ohm dual coil (2.4 Ohm each coil) made out of 0.6mm x 0.1mm Flat Ribbon Kanthal with non resistant leads welded to each side of it. NR-R-NR. At 1.2 Ohms even Provari doesn't mind firing it. I think it is bull sh...t, but it works pretty good at 30 Watts 6 Volts.

Wow, I just looked on Ebay and it is flooded with contradicting Fogger v4.1 listings and pictures! $31.95 for some thing that states is a 4.1 and picture to match. Everything else I looked at the pictures didn't match the words!

I am liking the vape of the .7 Ohm Orchid at 23W vs the 28.5W .7 Ohm. The juice is almost gone from the Orchid. The Vapor production at that level with that build is just not there, but that was a slap together build from last night. I don't like the vapor production, but I'm really sure that will change with another build.

HOWEVER, I grabbed a smaller bottle of juice that I did not mark, it could be a recipe variation? I am going to put the same juice in this build as the Fogger and compare a little before I rip that build out...actually I won't. I have that Nano kit on it and I'll fill a 3 or 5ml Syringe to see how much juice it holds. I'll try this time to hold air holes and not get juice everywhere..to get a accurate measurement with some degree of accuracy.

I'll have another Orchid to build on later this morning or afternoon. I'll tighten the 510 connection first and throw in some 24 gauge. I don't think I have to run out the door today for anything unless a call comes in? Hence, I think I can play Orchid today?

What I need to do is figure out an easy inexpensive way to extend that chimney to utilize Full Size Kayfun Tanks. I figured there would have been a few ideas thrown out by now?

Morning Edit: The Orchid is throwing out vapor on that slap together build now. I left it at 27.5 Watts from the Fogger settings, It's almost out of juice. I will fill with syringe with same juice as Fogger. Something tells me the vapor will be muted again if I don't fill it right? But I probably need to do some proper wicking...but that will come...eventually.

Edit: Took off the nano kit, trimmed wick and tucked a little into the juice channels, traditional small deck Fogger stylem and filled 3ml syringe. HAD 1.8ml left in the KFL+ v2 Nano kit tank. Still leaked a little!!

But she is vaping superior to the Fogger...more vapor and little more flavor with same juice and a easy build.

Screws, tool, & juice capacity are the downsides. REALLY REALLY need a chimney extension solution. This is a cry for help!!!

The $6 FastTech easy fill top cap should hopefully solve the fill problem? Every downside can be eliminated EXCEPT the chinmney extenion issue?

Edit again! First SUCCESSFUL FILL. Covered both air holes and chimney cap, 3 holes total, and no leakage. Next fill, I'll use the syringe to measure again.

EDIT: KFL+ v2 Full size body and AND top cap fits! Doesn't fit with Orchid top cap!

So what's the best fogger v4 version these days and what vendor(s) carry it? The eciggity version any good?

Anyone actually liking their Orchid over their Fogger?

It looks like an authentic 4.1 (AKA 4.4). I have one of them. It is better then 4.3 but not as good as 4.2 IMO

Could you takes pics of your build of the Orchid, wicks and all? :)
Ok,here are a few, this is definitely not going to win any awards haha, but i was rushing to try it out,and this setup seems to work really well,so i will leave it alone for a while. It's .30 gauge kanthal wrapped around approx. 2mm(from a metal clothes hanger),with rayon wicked just like the fogger with the tips of the tails in the channels.I didn't realize how blurry these are,i will replace with better ones in a little while.
Removed bad pictures, will get some better ones today.

She's a beauty. That recessed button thing is such a good thing for me since I'm the 2 for 3 on blowing out VTC5s & melting delrin. I have to lean toward Box Mods and try stick to a one mech at a time rule just to attempt to be logical. I considered the Onyx 26650 today...had to convince myself I DON'T NEED IT.

Everyone NEEDS a 26650 mod...my Mutant has a recessed magnetic switch...:p

I removed the rice pin from the Ray X put the button back together and aggressively twisted it back n forth...removed all my previous lube, put the pin back and now the button is silky smooth. So smooth that I'd go as far as to say feminine. I have no choice but to lock it now. I needed that as to require myself to have a good locking habit. I have to if I try to adhere to a one mech rule. After I drop this one in a lake, leave it somewhere, or kick it in a gutter, I am all about the recessed on the next one.
