I have to say guys that I don't like the idea of pre-orders at all.

The issue for me comes with having peoples money and nothing to send them. The minute you send me money, I owe you something. And at some point you will have to cut off the pre-orders because the demand may not meet the production ability...that leads to unhappy customers and the hassle of having to process refunds and so forth...and I hate to be frank but honestly we have enough on our plate as it is.

I don't think Imeo has a capital issue and I've offered him several times to send him money if he needs it to get something rolling. He has turned my offer away everytime which tells me he is doing fine. He's just in the same boat we are...one or two people to do the job of 3-4.

Thanks
Rob

Well, I think pre-orders are a double edged sword. One only has to look at the juice box fans forum to see how a couple of unexpected production delays can turn a room full of admirers into a mob of pitchfork wielding assassins.

However, unlike the juice box pope (he comes out on the balcony once or twice a year to waive at well wishers) and mostly speaks through intermediaries, is that Imeo, Lisa and Rob are damned good about living on the boards and answering questions and comments about the GG line. (Matter of fact, I'm starting to wonder if imeo's on some serious .... or something, he never seems to sleep...:D). The customer service as a whole on the GG's is outstanding.

The grumbling at the wait on the new batch would turn out to be very loud complaining if people had already given out money and expected their product by a certain time. And I wouldn't want imeo to rush a product to meet sales...his gallo wine approach suits me fine.

I think the GGTS with it's leakage fix is the perfect vaping device. I believe Imeo's efforts should be turned to building the perfect atty's and AFS. These two items are more important and troublesome than constant change to a battery holder. I for one would pay $30 or $40 for an atty that would last 6 months to a year of HV vaping.

Honestly what is possibly left for improvements on the GGST and the Slim. If I know my GGTS is going to be supportable in the coming future I'll more than likely buy another. But as long as I continue to see changes to an already perfect device and the previous model no longer supported i.e. grant and transformer, I'll wait to purchase future products.

Despite what Lisa said I still feel stock on hand could be better or at least only a max of one week waiting period for suppliers to replenish their stock.

harpo, changes on GGTS will be only as updates, so GGTS will have the support it deserves, so no worries about that. I also want to say that I dont have made any changes to GGTS. The only thing I did is to make some nice features for it that can be purchaced as upgrates or updates.:)

thanks a lot pal:):)
I can catch the demand as Harpo says. I just feel that I have to take small steps at a time. If I make 1000 GGTS then if something goes wrong with the unit I have to still sell them before I make something else, so I have to sell a bad product. Thats not my style.
Now, after a month that GGTS is on market I can make big quantities of it because I saw that unit has an issue. Its the leakage thing. I will fix it for free and thats it. Now we can have plenty of them.
GGTS is not a simple cig so I had to test it first and the best testers are the people that bought it.:):)

Imeo that's why you're the man. Can't wait for the new AFS since I couldn't figure out the first one and your new one is made for idiots like me.

Thanks a lot Harpo:):).
You are not idiot friend, you are just a man that wants to smoke without thinking much or to worry for many things. New AFS is for all people even if they dont have a clue about it. I will make a small video to show you how it works. I hope to do it tonight:)

Instead of a "pre-order", where the potential buyer pays in advance, some sites simply have an email system to notify interested buyers when an item becomes available. This may already be in place on both Rob's and Lisa's websites. I have often found a product I wanted to buy on a website and it was "out of stock", but I could add myself to an auto email to be notified when the product WAS in stock. No orders or money changing hands. This list of potential buyers could be useful to all parties as to the "demand". Now granted, if the supply is slow, some may buy a competing product. The real idea being to find out the potential market, so Imeo is not making more then the demand, or less then the demand. Just some thoughts, since that is how this thread was originally presented.

Lisa, you asked how ppl have heard about the GGST etc...I heard about it here on the forums, both via a banner in someone's signature or in bits and pieces in forum discussions. I am one who bought a mod as soon as I possibly could, after being frustrated with battery life and such. I am also someone who likes to research extensively...not everyone does. Soon as I got my first ecig (a 901) I was researching something better :) I am absolutely chomping at the bit to get my hands on a GGST with an AFS and all the trimmings.

I advise new ppl to gt a mod, but realize that (like me, when I started) they have no frame of reference regarding ecigs, and a basic model is probably what they are going to get.

I love the passion you obviously have about your product! Can't wait to give it a go. If I have to wait a bit, so be it.

I think as the basic Chinese e-cigs are so cheap now, it's worth newbies trying them out first before making the investment in a professional mod like the GG. Gives them a chance to learn about how to properly use and care for the batteries we use in high-end devices too. Maybe people launching in to high-end mods too soon in their vaping experience is also sometimes to blame for battery venting incidents.........

Very much looking forward to hearing your views on the GG when you get one. :)

Yeah, I agree Lisa. Even tho for me, I decided mods were the way to go, and that I wish I would have went that route from the start...doesnt mean everyone should start with a mod. I mean, I learned a lot in that period of time, when I played with the chinese crap..and ALSO there are MANY people that are very HAPPY with there chinese ecigs..there very content with them. So in short, I think its a good first stepping stone ..while they decide if they want to make an investment in something like a GG.
