I like LarryPer's idea best...
at least to start.

No mixing- and figuring PG/VG ratios...just unflavored nic juice and flavorings,
and mt baker is a great company too. ( just got an eRoll kit from them a couple weeks ago).
You can concentrate on what flavors you want !

Did you know that you can vape the unflavored juice as is ???
Made some 18mg for my eRoll...because of the small tank (bigger nic HIT) to stealth vape at work.
Taste, surprisingly good, like a ultralight, slightly sweet....
read some think it is very close to a analog...
me: A very light analog- but does produce a nice vapor !
(I buy my VG at WalMart)
:vapor:

Awwwh thanks for the welcome FogHog! And thanks DJ! I think that'll be what I try first as well! I'm trying to narrow down a couple of starter flavors too. I've been wanting to try the sweet cream from MBV anyway and DJ said its a good addition to a lot of liquids anyway so I'm sure ill be trying that. I'd also like to see how it works with coffee flavors since I can't seem to find a good coffee vape. I'm excited! I know I can vape the unflavored but I'm addicted to my flavors but it'll be a good way not to waste good juice when I'm sick or my taste buds are acting funky.

Yes she is! And very glad to be here my friend! BTW, I agree 100% about trying the unflavored stuff. I had a freakin page typed up to help welcome Chimney (sort of a noob to noob thing), including a suggestion to try vaping unflavored base & it vanished into cyberspace.

Awwwh! It's ok! I'm feeling the DIY noob love! Don't cha hate it when you type up a long post & it disappears! Grrrrrrrr!!

Its a very satisfying feeling knowing you got plenty of stuff on hand and you don't have to keep ordering juices. It costs me about $1.70 for a 30 ml bottle because I Vape at 8 mg nic. The hugest markups are on premade juices. I hate having to order several times and pay postage on top of it. For about $60 I got about 2 years of nic base plus the glass bottles to break it up into smaller batches and freeze it. I just periodically get flavors now. Plus since I Vape 100% VG, I can get 6 oz. of VG at the grocery store for just over $2.

I agree! I've been saying for a while that I might give it a try & I've been buying so much juice lately & not liking it completely or wanting to add something too it. Then it drove me insane when I started to see the price of the components versus how much I'm paying for it. Especially when they sale the concentrated flavor of the juice that I was ordering. I'm excited to get started! It'll be a week before I order but I can't wait!!

Hi Chimney !
(he waves and smiles)

Some of the fruit flavors can be hit or miss- even from the best, like TFA.
Cherry is one...tastes like candy/medicine.
Blackberry...had to steep with the top off for a week..still iffy.
Fresh banana...just ok- Ripe Banana tastes good, smells 'bad'- but both go ok in a mix, like Strawberry Banana.

Apple (Green Apple) is good as is...
Strawberry and Strawberrys and Cream
Coconut
Jolly Rancher Grape
and I love Huckleberry

My 2 major fails...
Don't buy the 'Hickory Smoke' flavoring...OMG !!! OMG- that stuff is so strong- the bottle reeks and I store it in a metal canister by itself in the basement !
If I ever encounter a skunk...I am going to spray it on him !!!!
(Really- I dont know what to do with it...1 DROP ruined 15 mls of juice !)

Watch how many drops you put in...
don't 'space out' like I did with 'Lime' and put like 60 drops instead of 20....
I now have some 'Potent Lime' ejuice...good for 'vaping colds'...
It will really make you 'Breath' !!!

It's all fun !

At first I was going to give up cause everything I made taste like soap
But I was impatient and did not let them steep
Now after 2 weeks they are starting to be good
Start with just 1 at a time, flavor and get some sweetener and some mental or lemon to touch them up if you need too.
Then you can get creative and try mixing flavors

I'm pretty new to DIY, and I have found the super concentrates very easy to work with, from both Vaping Zone and ECigexpress flavors express line. You only need 2.5% flavouring, my favourites are, from VZ blackberry, manderin, and strawberry from Ecigexpress pear and Apricot. Capella's flavors have also been really good, cinnamon Danish swirl, waffle, and strawberries and cream I have been between 6-9% on those, still finding my sweet spot. For me, TPA/TFA flavouring had a perfumery taste, even after steeping, but so many people like those flavours, I'm sure that I am ananomoly.

Good luck.

Ok! I'll try to not go too overboard. I'm going to start off making really small batches so that I don't waste too much. I'm sure I'm gonna end up with some that'll taste like crap. Lol!
