Today was sunny. I washed and detailed my bike (funny people see me detailing and I booked 2 jobs even though I closed my business in March), washed my van... tonight the lead guitarist came over and we worked out songs for our setlist. I added another 25 tunes and showed him some of the stuff I used to play... check out a band called uzeb (from Quebec). Alan Caron is the most amazing bass player in the world....

our bass player and myself haven't seen eye to eye as of late but man when he sees what music he is going to have to learn coming up, I swear he is going to give birth LOL. I've learned their country and blues stuff, now it is time they learn some of my choices. none of this 3 chord crap anymore :D Rush, Pink Floyd, Boston. I like technical songs

Lol, 3 chord crap, I like that and I love the technical music as well but find myself drifting toward metal music and rock/grungey riffs myself. Of course Floyd is amazing though! I don't own an amp but I have an Ibanez RGT42DXFX with a NeckThru and a Digitech RP250 multiFX that I use to record songs with. I miss being in the old band I was in every single day and don't get to play as often as I would like these days.... Gotta change that for sure :)

Any chance of us hearing a recording or two of those songs? It would be awesome to hear them!

I just joined this new band. I play a fender strat with a roland gk3 pickup and gr-20 synth module. I'm also lead vocals.
have to admit the srv 3 chord crap is fun. house is rocking is intense piano on the guitar. the band was a blues/country band. dragging them into playing scorpions and such is going to have the bass player kicking and screaming. I played jazz fusion as a bass player, poppin' and slappin' is fun

Very cool, I have music up on my MySpace (I know, so 2004) at Fading Soul | Free Music, Tour Dates, Photos, Videos It's got some old rock songs from my Fading Soul days (Like "Justice" and "Get Out Alive") and some of my own newer metal riffs like "Fall Into Flame" and "Give".

Unfortunately I can't sing to save my life and it's not me signing in these songs at all, so I envy you, lol. I've always wanted to sing but hiding behind my axe is good enough for me :) The vocalist is my friend Chris and all I did was compose everything else.

Slap and Pop bass is the best way to play a Bass btw!

Just take it easy on me, lol, it's all self produced with a budget of $0

So now it's Saturday :)

Decided to mix it up a bit and swapped the Boba's for some Hype. Got some friends coming over in a bit and plan to indulge in a little too much wine, and eat lots of cheese.

And I'm back at work again, but man do I have one killer headache!

Nice job noiz... turn the singer's monitor mix down is his headset so he pushes a little more. has a decent voice. love the playing. justice is a cool tune. harmonized licks in fall into flame are nicely done. got up top devoted but I have to get some sleep before work. I can enjoy that kind of music. cheers.
