I wouldnt even start that way they are saying they have antifreeze in them they will go for a ban. They want to ban them that was how this all got started do not think for a minute they will rest till they get their way. That is why they are going at it at the state level.

You are a couple of months late.

Geez, guys, maybe if we talked to the FDA real nice we could get a bunch of grants and do our own studies.
I think I could create a report much more factual than Dr. Eissenberg or his interviewer created there. No nicotine???? What the heck were they smoking???
Our tax money at work, really brings a tear to your eye, doesn't it. Makes my hair hurt.

I thought about stockpiling too but the shelf life of e-liquid is about 8 months from what I have read on ECF. Maybe you can stockpile DYI products which may last longer.

wait... shhh... think I hear Tropical Bob chuckling! He pretty much leaked this press release two or three months ago here at the forums. I was taken aback when he said it is largely placebo affect. Granted, the MAOIs, as has been discussed, are missing. That is clear by the number of people who are frustrated by their experience and must supplement with other non-smokables. Nevertheless, once you get through withdrawing from them, which seems to be easier for some than others, vaping becomes less and less prominent in your life. So, yes, I definitely do get a nic buzz, and being able to see that vapor gives me a sense of calm that once only a cigarette could do. What makes me happier still is the idea that if it is even partially placebo effect, it works, I am finally getting to a point where I can see my life without tobacco or nicotine products.
As was touched on here, there are numerous factors that come into play. Self-titration, equipment, easily accessible analogues, the list goes on. So, whatever, at this point, I consider this good news.
Since it seems they've established that it doesn't deliver a tobacco by-product, perhaps they can now put our tax dollars to good use and study the effects of inhaling the flavoring agents. Oh wait... was the point just to let us know we've all been conned so we may as well go back to our tobacco product of choice? It is stuff like this that adds to my determination to TRY and not give BT another cent of my money.
So TB, as you said, it sounds like the masses were astounded by the news of the "faux" effects of e-cigs!

so you are saying we might as well just throw our ecigs in the trash and go down to the gas station and pick up a pack a reds?

No, don't throw 'em in the trash.

You need to read up a bit more in the legal/campaigning area of this site. A lot has happened. Once you do that, you'll probably calm down a bit. Whatever happens, e-cigs aren't going anywhere. They'll be here, whether begrudgingly legal and taxed, or in good 'ol 1920 prohibition style (e-cig speakeasys, e-liquid moonshine). But it'll be here.

Mostly what we're dealing with is mainstream media conformity to report "what they're told to", and a large public consensus that understands they're being lied to because of huge financial interests at stake. Go to nearly ANY e-cig article that allows comments, and you'll see it's flooded with mostly pro-ecig comments and people who can clearly see and pays attention to "that man behind the curtain".

I posted elsewhere that I think 2010 will be to e-cigs what pot was to 1967. In other words, it ain't going anywhere. Cat's out of the bag.

With regard to Favor and other past attempts at a smoking replacement, the Internet (as we know it) did not exist back then. FDA and anti's were able to quickly shut down those products because nobody knew about them. Today it's different, people are more connected through the net, and the modern e-cig is probably bucketloads more effective than any of those past products. Word is out. Science is on our side. We've had some court successes so far. It's not going to be like 1987 all over again.

Oh well. No nicotine delivered, it's all placebo.

I guess that means they can release the shipments and move along, right?

EDIT: Mercury, one of the most dangerous substances on the planet, is good for your kids... that's rich.
I was just getting ready to say the same thing. No Nicotine, no "drug delivery device" just and battery with a light and pg/vg, a novelty item! Nothing for the FDA to regulate....this study (if true) just made the case......? No need for the FDA to waste anymore money asserting authority!

This is crazy seriously. Why don't they just collect about 100+ of us from this forum and do a study. Since we use the e-cigs and we have all been smokers at some point. I mean out of all the people on this forum I would THINK they would have some sense to come on this forum and look at the stories here.

TAKE SOME OF US FROM THIS FORUM AND DO A STUDY ON US PLEASEEEEEEE. GIVE US SOME GRANTS :)

To be fair to some of the negative studies, why anyone would use the juices made in China is beyond me.. As many reports of toxic substances in other products coming out of there are I wouldn't be surprised if their juices were extracted from soylent green and mixed with cyanide and liquefied puppies.

LOL What:lol:

Do you know how many of your prescription drugs come from China, or the drugs that make other drugs that come from China to the states? That come into this country everyday unchecked, because the FDA is too small to be even able to start checking them.

Look through history governments and media have never been able to be trusted. Look at the lies the past governments around the world have told their people and the mainstream media pushed out info for them. Go back in history just to the 30 to Germany and that little Corp. what was his name Hitler he seem to be a person that was in the government and had the mainstream media say anything for him and it wasnt just him this goes back to the Roman Empire.

Uh... you didn't take my comment seriously, did you? Ever hear of sarcasm? Or maybe you're just elaborating?

Text sucks for getting ideas across.
