Well, the atty has arrived in the US for sale. LiteCigUSA has them for $15

Smoktech Rebuildable Tank System

What's the thinking here on what it would take to effectively run mesh in this rba? Plugging holes, drilling air hole, etc.
Done! Ordered! AT $15 a pop, even if these things suck, I can at least warn others about it. Or, hopefully, if they work well and can be used as Genisis-style atties, then we can all jump up and down and have a cheapo rba party. Here's hoping for the party option. :vapor:

I've found air flow to be crucial to vapour production on Genesis atomisers. I have the RATank which is very similar to the ViVi tank. I tried the U-wick mesh setup and the throat hit was killer and the vapour was practically non existant.

By all means though, try it. It's worth a shot and your experience may be altogether different.

I've got killer TH and no vapor at times on my Ody. I think it's from too much juice on the wick, having liquid control open too much. The coil seems to get the juice hot enough to sizzle producing more of a mist rather than a vapor. If I close the liquid control a bit it will start vaping correctly after a few hits. Not sure how you'd adjust the wicking of the mesh, maybe a denser wick with smaller or no "tube" in the center?

Have one shipped yesterday and two coming from the co-op, looking forward to plying with these.

A PBusardo Review - Smoktech Vivi Rebuildable Tank - YouTube

Here is a very negative review, even though he calls it a very dry hit while blowing tons of vapor thru his nostrils and mouth. Since my intention is to mod the wick this did not turn me off on them, should have some to try in a few days.

I've found at time that the drier hits tend to produce more vapour. It's jusr because it's hitting a higher temperature so not only does it heat the liquid to a higher temperature showing condensation when blown out of the mouth but it's heating the juice more efficiently.

Anyways guys, I've seen it, vape it and it aint so great with the wick in it. Definitely one that will need to be modded whether that's towards genesis or for cotton/silica wick.

It feels kinda flimsy but that's just on par with $15.

Swap the screws. Install wick and coil.

Cut off tooth pick in air hole.

Poke a hole near the wick.

I found that odd as well as the wick seemed saturated. Normally when you get the scratchy feeling in the back of the throat is because of a dratty, and they are usually associated with a significant decrease in vapour production.

IMMHO Phil has only entered the "non carto" arena and still has much to learn. They are not straight out of the box like a carto:)

I agree and at 2 ohms maybe if he had lowered the voltage a little until it was broken in, it wouldn't have been so harsh. Anyway should have mine today and will post my experience with it before modding it. It is a shame though because a co-op on these was cancelled because of his review, everyone opted out.
