Gaping headache & drip tip question

My lovely wife finally got me to quit smoking by buying me a no-name brand e-cig. I quickly did some research & bought the following which solved my cheap e-cig problems and has been working quite well

Joyetech eGo-T & eGo-C. Favorite e-juice Boda's Bounty 24mg nic content.

Please help with the following ..

I read the health threads which are golden. I've been experiencing a nasal type headache when I vap after only a minute or 2. I haven't tried a PG only juice yet, I get the headache with VG and VG+PG juices. I'm not sure if I'm just going thru a headcold or if it's the vaping. It's been about a week since I've started vaping with my new equipment & almost a month since I quit smoking real cigarettes.

Can you use a drip tips with the eGo T or eGo C ? If so, what do I order? The types listed always say 510 or some other brand, just not eGo. Thanks in advance.

Congrats on your purchase and kicking the analog habit :)

24mg is on the higher scale. Could it be that you're simply getting a nic headache? Might try a lower content. I have 24mg and 16mg right now (noob as well) and I find that I prefer the feeling of the 16, but the 24 satisfies my cravings better yet does give me a slight sinus headache. I may be looking for something in between the 2 in the near future.

510 refers to the threading and ego equipment has 510 threading.

You can use a drip tip with your "T" attys, although I'm not familiar with the "C".

Headaches . . . I had those as well on 24mg and soon found I needed to reduce "most" of my juice. I still kept some 24 ready to use when the cravings were strong, but found for the "habit" of vaping, 18 mg for chain-vaping eliminated the headaches. I've recently been able to reduce again now using 12 with 18 for craving-time.

Finding what works best for you will be a trial-and-error situation. You're on the right track by doing lots of reading here on ECF! Now just use your judgement with all this information and try, try, try!!

Best of luck!!!!!

Drink water - more than you think you'll need. Vaping can be very dehydrating so it's really important. I know it right away when I forget by a headache and a bit of nausea. The headache can be caused by vaping at too high of a mg or the particular juice you are using. You may be able to dilute your juice w/ a little PG that's available at retail stores if you want to see if this is the problem. The cost will be that the flavor is a bit diluted but maybe ok till a lower mg juice arrives.

You are experiencing a nicotine induced headache because your juice is on the high side .... You don't have to stop vaping the 24mg, but I simply would not use it all day. Order your favorite juice in a lower nic level, like 6-12mg, maybe even zero nic, and then alternate between the 24mg and lower or zero nic juice.

Use the lower nic juice for most of the day, and save the 24mg for when your cravings are strong ... this should help greatly. Now as far as the Ego T, which I have, you can drip with this atty, and fyi Ego are 510 threaded/compatible units.

The size of the Ego Tank atty is larger than a standard 510 atty, so as far as drip tips go you must select one that is size compatible with The Tank Type A cone shape atty.. if you are unsure about compatibility or the products for any given vendor, then just send them an email, or post a link here of what drip tips you were looking at and someone will be able to answer if it is the correct size for you atty .... hope this helps :D

Thanks for the info. I'm learning so much. My determination is high in keeping off cigarettes and this forum is a god send. I didn't think it was a nic headache since I was a pack + a day smoker of full strength menthols. Nevertheless I have 12mg versions of my favorite juice on order along with drip tips to make tasting new flavors easier. Thanks again.

Just got a lower nic level of my favorite juice and had a couple of problems. My eGo-T atty started tasting like rubber then failed all together after only about 3 weeks old. I installed a new atty but the rubbery flovor won't go away, even with different juices. The new juice in my eGo-C didn't have a rubbery taste but the flavor was almost non existant. Also noticed the color of the low nic juice is a lot lighter than the original hi nic. Is diluted flavor typical of a lower nic content juice or did I just get a bad batch of Alien Vision's Boda's Bounty? Does anyone know whats causing the rubbery taste in my eGo-T eventhough I have a new atty, cartridge, & juices? Its a rubbery & almost rotten egg smell; disgusting. I blew it out & vaped like crazy to get rid of any manufacturing juice that may be in there from shipping. Could it be the "soft rubber" cartridge covers I bought? Thanks in advance for any help.

Headache is usually nicotine - too much in too short a time. And if you are using Boba's, I swear that stuff felt like it had capsacin (hot pepper) to add more throat sensation than you usually get with nicotine TH dulled by VG. Also you must stay hydrated when vaping - it is drying and dry mucus membranes like sinuses will become irritated or infected more easily.

Re atomizers - IMO they are nice when new and then they screw you one way or another. Learn to use cartomizers which are what most use for their favorite everyday juices (but they do work best with thinner high PG juices, and I also stay away from dark/opaque/cloudy liquids that drop flavoring sediment because that stuff craps up cartos fast). For Ego the most popular are boge 2 ohm. And you could look into carto tanks that take a whole side-punched steel carto down the middle then it's surrounded with juice.

As for dripping - tank atomizers aren't really made for dripping. I think some people may remove the strike plate from -T atomizers and use them to drip. I recommend a plain 510 atomizer and 510 drip tip (or a 306 atomizer and a 306 drip tip).
