Grrrr, mine won't stop leaking. Comes out around afc ring, reminds my obs crius. I noticed my 510 pin was loose so I got about 2 1/2 turns & really tighten it down, I thought problem solved. Boy was I wrong. Any 1 else having this problem. Imput? I had such high hopes for this rta, I loved the original.

I'm going to second that they need to step up QC. Seems like some peoples are perfect and some (me included) are far from from it. I took out my 510 pin completely and noticed on the gold plated pin I have no insulator (washer). For anyone that has taken their pin out: Does yours have an insulator? My resistance is jumping all over the place while the atty is at rest (room temperature)

The only 2 things I can think of for your leaking is either a bad/missing O-Ring or possibly just a bad deck.

Cheers,
Steve

Is anyone running a single coil and having success that they can pass along.

I built a 24 g ss twisted with 32 g kanthal 6 wraps 3mm. Comes in at .39.

I wicked it heavy and sat at top of channels. Burnt hits at 35.

Wicked it thin and sat on channel leaked all over.

Wicked it thin and pulled tails through a little burnt hits at 35.

Pulled tails out and say on top Burnt hit at 35.

All scenarios flavor muted and vapor nothing impressive. Tried all variations of air and juice control with the different wicking techniques.

Is single coil a waste of time? Or am I missing something.

I have a Griffin clone with dual 24 g ss 9 wraps coming in at .31 with thin wick sitting on top of channel that I ran at 75 watts with huge flavor and vapor.

I'm running a single coil and it did take me a while to get it right so that it didn't either burn or leak. I'm using rayon though, so it may be somewhat different. Also I run at lower wattages than most of you probably do. I wicked it a bit tight (as recommended for rayon) but not super tight and sort of feathered the tails out so that they were thicker where they go through the ring and tapered off to just wisps at the bottom. I'm doing a clapton coil (I think it's 24/32) 5 wraps on a on a 7/64 drill bit, at .6 ohms.

So you running them all the way to the base of the channel? How tight is it behind the ring? And are you wicking with the he ring on or wicking and then attaching ring?

How hot can you run it before the wicking has trouble keeping up? How's the vapor production and flavor?

in the top of the channel they are a little tighter, but I can still move them around with something pointy like a small screwdriver. Toward the bottom they taper off. There is a picture toward the end of the big rayon thread that I followed. I'll find a link.

I put the ring on after they were trimmed and primed and then sort of fluffed the ends to make sure they were filling the gap between the channel and the ring.

I'm only running at 25 and it keeps up. I bumped it to 30 and it seemed okay but didn't leave it there long.

Flavor and vapor are good imo. Vapor seems great to me, but I'm not a cloud chaser so... I'm currently fogging up my car while waiting for my kid. Lol.

Can anyone recommend a reputable company to place my pre-order with? One that is in the usa. Thanks

sweetvapes.com its the best site IMO, theyre in the US. actually in wisconsin. always takes 2-3 business days to get to me & i think thats a plus. also, they are reasonably cheaper than other US sites, and everything is authentic.

I am loving mine! Single or dual coil doesn't matter good flavor for such a large RTA. Sorry for the Theorem in the pic been playing with that as well.

Can you give some insight into your single coil build. I tried it and it sucked. Went dual and it's been awesome. It either dry hit it lacked in vapor production in single coil for me.
