And how is that baby wicking? Looks like a good jobI just finished rebuilding my "topless" Griffin and decided to put in vertical coils. I put verticals in my Crius and loved it, so decided to try it in one of my Griffins. I put vertical claptons 26/32, 3mm id, reads at 0.45 ohms. I really like the airflow and flavor with these verticals.
But if you're blowing into it, exhaling, whatever, ah never mind. LOL

It wicks really well, it produces a nice dense juicy vape. I was skeptical a little about this method before I tried it, but has no problems keeping up even when heavy chain vaping. I tried it in my Crius a while back and loved the way it vapes, so decided to try it in one of my Griffins.
Man I just don't know about this SS temp control. I've got it all set up and working properly but it's desperately missing flavor. Maybe I like the taste of kanthal. LOL Sorry to post off subject, the build it is in my Griffin though. I thought this 24ga SS was going to be amazing. Meh!

I tried, it's the same. It's hard to explain but it's very sweet but missing most of the flavor. Afterwards it's leaving my mouth feel like the desert. I'll give it one more day but I think this build is coming out and my kanthal is going back in. It was completely amazing with the kanthal. I have a 25 foot roll of 24ga SS 316l with a few inches missing up for sale. LOL

Bummer. I'm finally moving over to ss with a mod on the way. I like the fact it can be used in tc and power mode. I bought a roll of surgical grade ss that has been annealed. What you're finding with ss doesn't seem to be the consensus. But i'll find out soon enough for myself. As far as the Griffin, this thing rocks.
I had the same first impressions using a contact coil. That all changed when I went to a 2.5mm 8 wrap spaced coil with temp control. Found my sweet spot to be 55w and 430F. Vaping like a dream now.
Thanks, I'll try a spaced coil before I give up on SS.

maybe its your juice? you can try 26g or 30g ss also advancedvapesupply.com has what i have found to be the best ss316 Ive used so far. also check your tcr setting and play around with that.
You will NOT be disappointed with ss. i switched to ss from kanthal about 2 months ago and havent looked back
