Non beveled?
You don't need the bevel, the beauty rings can take it.
IMHO..

I was talking about the O-rings.Looks like shipping to LV is $6.00 for those 3 custom cut tubes. Not that bad.
Plus $21.00 for the tubes, makes $9.00 a piece.
I'll wait for @Planethead to report on the quality and fit.

Rayon only worked for me if I cut it flush with the wick channel. So far, had the best results with Cotton Bacon V2 using the method set out here: *GEM: A new RTA by MarkBugs | Page 97 | E-Cigarette ForumI decided to revisit my gem today. I wasn't using it because the tank was full and I was getting some pretty harsh hits with it but I didn't want to drain it to fiddle with it. I rewicked it and primed it and everything seemed to be fine... until I got through the liquid I primed with. Then the harsh hits came back. It's reading 1.1 ohms, I've been running it 12-13watts. Now, I like to take slow deep drags when I vape so I'm wondering if maybe the coil is getting too hot? I think I'm running 28awg wire. The wick (rayon) just can't seem to keep up. Halp!

Is your juice VG heavy?
R
Probably some are. I try to avoid really high vg because it makes my lungs feel heavy. I recoiled with 26awg for lower heat flux and switched to cotton and it seems to be working better [emoji16]
distortoblotto, what is the build you are using to get 1.0 ohm?
I would appreciate if someone could please answer these questions. Is this tank designed specifically for one type of vaping? I have been looking for a new MTL tank for months and from the looks of it this tank looks to be focusd on MTL? Also, how low of ohms can we go on this tank? I usually MTL at around .5 ohms so was hoping this can handle that. Thanks
I make my .5 ohm coils with 26 gauge in other tanks which is what I prefer. So that said, any idea if 26 gauge works in this tank and what the largest coil diameter that will fit? It's great for MTL, but the 2.5mm airhole, when wide open, allows for a nice restricted lung hit.
As for the 0.5 ohms, depends on how thick yor wire is. As far as I know, the most someone has put in there is 26awg. I prefer 28awg and build around 0.9-1.1 Ohms.

I just placed my order over at ElectronicStix. Their site says they are in stock so I hope they are and ship out soon. I have read these do not come with extra orings, is it recommended to order some extras? I saw someone had posted the sizes this tank uses.
IAbout the 26awg - when I got mine I had problems with 28awg, Only when I cranked down the screws really hard was I able to assemble the base in the chimney with no shorts. I'm not sure about 26awg thoug, I just saw 1 video. maybe @qorax can comment.
We mainly build with 2.0-2.5mmID. 3.0mmID will be too wide.
Yes, they come without spares, but Mark and @qorax are working on it, every buyer should get a packet. Q will be here soon
