hate to throw the cat in amongst the pigeons but I just threw it on the boxer dna 200 with a generic Ti preset (well 133 actually, dual 18650) and it vapes just fine. I think I have 60 or maybe 80 W preheat. Using SE csv for Ti Gr1 at 440F and 22.5W....go figure..?!?!? Might leave it on there as its working....

Perfect solution...if it's working don't touch it. I'm praying for the new GEM to address the 510 pin issue.

Me too mate. My point with the Klutz post was that I doubt MB even knows or thinks there is an issue although I might be wrong...

Yah the provari p3 is nice and everything. The boost feature works really well and it's built like a tank but I don't want to go out of the house usually with only a 18350 battery and the 18650 mode is bloody huge. So for me it's an at home mod. I regret buying it for my needs. And will probably be
Listing it for sale. But I'm addicted to tiny mods. The gem is tiny. Doesn't pair well with a large mod.

Just my opinion and certainly I can't diminish how awesome the p3 is in use. It's just not the right choice for someone who wants all day power in a small form factor.
Like my GEM on a Ti P3 in 18350 mode. My low Watts let me vape it half a day. Or even more. Grab a few spare batteries with me and all is good.

Apprentice evloved with a DNA40 or sx350J for me... @IanDVaypes made a DNA40 version. It can be done. I live in hope that a TC version of the WAE series will happen one day. Perfect for the GEM...
I share your dream

The 18350 at 14 watts lasts me less than half a tank on the p3 I believe. And in 18350 mode it's the size of a mech mod 18650

Hi everyone!
Friend of mine bought a GEM (original) and was pretty happy with it, so he decided to buy a couple of clones at FT, too. The problem is the clones are leaking as if there's no tomorrow, not only after refilling, but also while operating - unusable at least.
Now I for myself am done with this, mine flied to the trash, he on the contrary would like to adress the issue and suspects the orings to be of the wrong size, given the nature of the atom's malfunctions.
Hence the question: anybody has an idea of where to purchase an oring kit? Spare parts? Browsing through european shops I couldn't really find anything, any suggestion would be appreciated.

Thanks! :)
orings for the authentic or the clones?? If authentic, the info is in this thread, if clones then go to the clone thread :)

Sorry the title doesn't meet with your lofty views.
nothing lofty about it. It called irony...Let me explain, sigh...

the comment was addressed not at Q, or a slight against clones, but at the earlier poster who was, it seemed to me, asking advice on clone parts in a 130 page thread clearly dedicated to the authentic, AND that the clone thread was hardly disguised as it was clearly labelled...the 'imaginativel' was added as another failed attempt at humour...maybe I should just stop with the light hearted, ironic approach and just be a miserable sod like a lot of overly sensitive people on this forum...

Let's give him time. Hes working on the GEM V2 chimney etc., he sent a lot of spares to Q and a lot of us will be getting them.

nah. Sorry! He should support the devices that he has sold already, at least with the same priority as new developments. Sending out spares through @qorax was, to my mind, a kludge at best.....On the other hand, we bought them knowing there were no spares included. Nonetheless, how hard is it to bag up a few screws and orings and post them on the site...I have a whole set of viton rings now anyway. All i need is some post screws and a spare 510 screw...Like Q, I have never had to replace an o-ring due to wear (as opposed to just flushing one doen the sink hole..lol!)

Fair enough.
Never damaged an oring either. Afraid of losing those small atty parts..

Wow they actually managed to clone the gem? I'd love to see how the quality is considering I own two already. I can't imagine the quality is any good.

Gem works solid in tc on the evic mini I received today. Temp seems spot on with the dna200 devices and it's very reliable.

The type b clone is nothing like the gem. Unless that's the new updated design. The type a doesn't show the deck. Anyway the authentic is amazing. I can't imagine the clone is anything but awful.
